Well i've been reading for years now and i've succumbed to action type books such like Rain Fall by Barry Eisler. Its a story about an assasin that completes contracts (assasinations) for money. In that he meets many people who may or may not be friend or foe. This book is really fast action (a little bit of kiss kiss bang bang genre type) and is a great read for people who love Politics and a bit of cool moves from an assasin himself. The Alex rider series is quite good too but Rain fall has more depth to the story line which is what i love. He also has other books such as choke point which follow the story from Rain fall. Do you read books as much as me and would like to recommend some favorite books of your own? Just write a brief teaser to the story. I'd like to read new books and others may want to read yours too!

How about 'Chinese Cinderella' or 'Mao's Last Dancer' ?
Well these 2 books are true biographies of people who had to suffer, endure and doing they best they could to finally live a life of luxury rather than poverty.
Ive read 'Chinese Cinderella' and now im reading 'Mao's Last Dancer'.
10 stars out of 10 xD

I've not much time to read but when i read books, there are a lot who are good from :

Michael chrichton; stephen king, anna rice, ...

They have good stories, just check out.
Anyway, it depends on our own taste ...
Hope it helps.

I'm currently reading Fear and Loathing in las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson, If you like drugs this is a book you shouldn't miss, if you don't like drugs (as my case) it seems a waste of time.

I bought Ecce Homo by Nietzsche, although I haven't read it yet I can recomend that one since Nietzsche has never disappointed me.

From my favourite writers that have been translated to multiple languages I recomend:

Milan Kundera: The unbearable lightness of being
Nietzche: The antichrist, Thus spoke Zarathustra
Charles Dogson: Through the looking glass and what Alice found there (2nd part of Alice in wonderland)
William Golding: The lord of the flies
George Orwell: The animal farm.

I suppose this list somehow reveals my tastes, let me know if there is anything you reckon I might like.

My favorite is the A Song of Ice and Fire series by Goerge R. R. Martin. Thus far there are 4 of the 7-8 books that are going to be in the series out. The series is High Fantasy and the book titles are; A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, and A Feast for Crows.

The level of world building is comparitive to Tolkin, and just as dark. While there is plenty of swords and socercy to go around, (which is very graphic,) there is also a ton of political intregue, ("When you play the game of thrones, you will either win or die" paraphrase from various books in it.) and did I mention it gets very dark at times? When you think the shit can't get any deeper, they find a new shovel.

O I love reading! I love reading novels story books & stuff. I can’t really recommend you on any book but I can sure tell you that yesterday I found out that the books of Christopher pike are really good too. I read the book called, ’witch’. It was very nice! That’s why I’ve decided to read more book by this author. You should also read classics.

I don't know if you would like the genre but the best books I read some times ago are from Tess Gerritsen (The Surgeon, The Apprentice, The Sinner, Body Double, Vanish, Bloodstream, Harvest, Life Support etc.) The genre is medical thriller. I really love her books because the end is always surprising. It's really thrilling.

Another author I can tell you is Kathy Reichs. (Deja Death, Death du Jour, Deadly Decisions, Fatal Voyage, Grave Secrets, Bare Bones, Monday Mourning, Cross Bones etc.) It's the same genre as the books of Tess Gerritsen. Very thrilling.

Also good is Mary Higgins Clark. It's criminal genre.

Since your male I think that the books of Waris Dirie are not so good for you. This should not mean anything special but these books are mainly written for women. But they are really good. It's like a biography.

Last author I can tell you is Tami Hoag (Dust to Dust, Ashes to Ashes, A thin dark Line, Guilty as Sin, Night Sins etc.) It's also criminal.

As you can see, I read a much of criminal books. I also read the books of "Star Wars" but I think you must be a fan for it.

Maybe I could tell you some good books you want to try out.
Hope you find some from other users to. ^.^

Since you like drugs and stuff like that (i mean in books) i think you might like to read Marcus Zuzack Books. Its called Fightin' Ruben Wolf. Its about a story of two brothers who box underground (underground here meaning its illegal). This is sort of the same thing with drugs cuase its illegal and done unseen. Well just a remcommendation. I think its worth the read.

I don't really enjoy classics as they seem prone to old english type of language. Like Lord of the Rings, and he hobbit. Although i love the movie adaption.
