My computer died, yes.
No anime, no wallpapers, no nothing.
It was gone for about a week or so.
And sucked big time.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have, and that really sucks.
My main harddrive failed one day which had pretty much everything (documents, wallpapers, etc.) except for my music. I haven't been able to recover any of the data yet. =/
Since you said that it was gone for a week, you have them back now?

Once but that was a long time ago after that that never happened to me. Maybe it was becaus ei had a crappy computer.
How can it mean anything to me. If I really don't feel anything at all?

Just put your HD into another computer, if the HD didn't die.
Yeahh, this has happened to me too many times. When this happens, I usually have a partial back-up, or a full back-up and it doesn't really affect me. But, there has only been like once when I haven't had a back-up.
My old computer died. My household was without one for a year. All my anime and wallpapers and music was lost. :(
But it's fine. I'm over it. The guy who was supposed to fix the old computer is kind of incompetent so I've accepted the loss (plus my preferences have changed since the old computer).

Yeah, I think my computer has died like, twice, and I think the number could possibly even be thrice, but I'm not too sure.
The first time, I lost all my Magic Knight Rayearth stuff. The second time, I lost all my Year 7 and Year 8 stuff, and the third ...
Yeah, I think my pomputer's only died twice, and the first time I lost all my stuff was because my MUM forgot to save all our things onto a disk or something. - That was VERY annoying.
By the way, I didn't /only/ lose those things, but they were the most significant things I had on the computer.
Yes, I worshipped Magic Knight Rayearth back then, so yeah, it was VERY important to me.
As well as all my Sims House Party savings that went down the drain with all of those files.
Oh yes, and loads of my stories also went. - How could I forget about that? xP

One day my computer wouldn't turn on so instead of asking my brother who is like a computer genius and can fix any problem, I decided to try and fix it myself.
I was fiddling around with the back of the computer for a long time when all this smoke started coming out!
To this day I have no idea what I did but I was without a computer for over 2 weeks! And yeah it really does suck big time!!

That's why always back-up your stuff.
Don't forget to back-up the back-up, too. And also back-up that back-up at least a hundred miles away in a fire-proof lock box. Oh, and don't forget to devote your entire existence to fear and paranoia.

It happened to myself very often until I come the day in which I had to learn repair like my pc myself.
Keke, i had that experience be4, so i buy another hd for data storage, now i have 400 gb hd for data storage :p but still not enough
Yup. Just two weeks ago. Good thing I have already burned a back-up of all my files. So its just fine.
