bye bro! So I like to print my own posters
So awhile ago, I found a rocking picture. Nowhere an available poster to be found, I decided to print it and put it together myself. Before you(I) knew it, it became a hobby. And as the white space gets covered, the remaining white space looked more and more ugh. So, more wall-coverings were made.
Quite a lot of the pictures that were posterized comes from AP. Big thanks to the makers for the awesome wallpapers, or the people that posted the scans.
The white lines you might notice is proof of how hard it is to precisely cut the margins off each printed page.

It was a Canon i560. It's broken now. I'm using an iP1700 right now. Normal paper.
I think it's a little bit expensive, isn't it? :D

Yeah, never rebuy the cartridges with the printheads on there. Those are like $40. i560 uses a built in printhead, so the cartridges themselves are oh..$4 a piece?
If you have a printer that uses expensive cartridges, it might be a good idea to refill the ink yourself if you want to save money.

I used to use tape on the back, and glue in the seams.
Do you overlap the pages?
I used to print an extra 1cm (0.5cm on each side of the join) so that there would be no white seam, or rather so that I didn't need to be as precise with cutting. I used to use Microsoft Publisher to make up and print posters, though I moved on to use Luxor Poster Print 3.

Is Luxor only for macs? Because I use PC and Ace Poster, which I don't think is advanced as Luxor. Each page would be printed with margins on all four sides, and I would cut all four sides off and tape the back with clear scotch. If you look at the Jin one, some of the edges have started to peel. That was a mistake using masking tape, which loses a lot of its strength after time. It'll have to be retaped when I decided to get off my ass.
And as the the cost, well this started back in '05. I would do about one poster every one or two months. The ink I mentioned I bought cheap in bulk from myinks.com, and I used normal 8.5x11 printing paper to save money.

Haha... yes... built-in printhead cartridges are very expensive. I looked up the price for cartridges compatible to your printer here in germany. It's round about 1 Euro for one colour. Wish I had the money to buy such a printer. :)

You know what Schattenwolf, I don't even know if they sell the i560 series anymore (other then on ebay from users). So it was indeed a dark day when it finally died. When I made up posters, I only cut off two of the margins on each page, that way I had more overlap to glue/tape. I always used transparent scotch tape (used to use it on the front and back before I changed to glue), that stuff seems to keep it's strength.
I think the first posters I made would have been back around 2000, I used to make batches of posters. The last one I made would have been around a year ago.

I was just gonna point out that there are programs that can convert images into multiple pages poster size/ large multiple sheets posters. But seems you know there existence

Yeah, transparent scotch tape really is the way to go. I retaped all the ones that once used masking tape like the GiTS OST and Mugen. The scotch holds it in place a lot better.
