Well...depends on who's got the sword/ gun...
generally I prefer swords, but take for example Dante from DMC. I love his guns, Ebony and Ivory, more than I love his sword.
but in reality...I think that swords are much better, more traditions and so on.

I'd say guns, specifically a 9mm desert eagle colored silver, but swords are awesome too, i would love to get my hands on a real katana, not those cheap unsharpend shanks you find in public -_-
Swords are cooler... but in a fight I would want a gun.
Sure swords look cooler but if im in a fight, the gun is your best friend. guns have the advantage of flexibility. short range uve got a pistol, medium ranged uve got an automatic and long ranged use a telescopic scope with a semi auto rifle to increase accuracy. sword is just get close and hack em and hopefully you dont get shot while running.

I'd deffinitley go with swords. Anyone can kill someone with a gun. But with a sword, you kinda have to know what youre doing.

I like swords better but i gun in reality can beat a sword

You should all remember that even if a person runs out of bullets, the gun can still be used as a weapon that can severely injure or kill a person.
The weapon can be used as an extension of the body, the same way a sword is.
The butt of a handgun alone can break bones. Give a trained individual a rifle or shotgun then they could effectively counter a person weilding a sword even if out of bullets.

when you use guns, not much energy to use there.
with the technology now, just pull the trigger or click a button
then its fired. automatic mah men! cool! hehehe
plus you can hide your gun in your pocket. really cool! nyahahaha...
sword? power, energy, stamina, vitality etc. is required.
commonly it is a long blade (straight or slightly curved)
having one or two cutting edges that is often used as a
symbol of honor or authority. waw! hihihih... i like the term
"honor and authority" now that's cool yes? ^ _ ^

If you were in a movie the person with a sword would probly win to make it look so much cooler how they dodged every single bullet and how they killed him ending in a cool pose.

I'd say swords. But you're right about the effectiveness of a gun. And the advantage of long-range is always a plus in my opinion.
Well the discusion (for me at least) is irrelevant, in terms of which do more damage. Both are weapons to kill and i don`t care that, also i think that it's useless talk about which win in a battle. Even so i like more the swords like a decorative thing .
