This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Okay first don't put the image in the thread and comments but only a link to it or a thumbnail.
Second you need to tell us WHAT it is...
Third a wall is not simply a picture you play around with the light and some random effect from your software.

If it's fan art you made it looks pretty good but it's not accepted in a wall on AP. Please read the AP guide about walls...

And don't submit before coming here it will save you some papers...

I like the second one. The canvas print on things never really did much for me. It makes the entire wall look sort of...off balance. Also, you should try different things with it. I'm not sure what the acceptance percent is for solid colored papers, but I wouldn't go with just an accented edges filter. Try adding a little more color to it. Vectoring it and three-dimensionally it bringing it out might work, too. But I definitely recommend trying different things with it.

I like the color of that. What if you did something like, while working with the parchment look, making it into a burnt map or timeless scroll look. Then layering another piece at an angle on top of it? That might look nice.

Don't put the images on the thread PLEASE! It's really hard to comment when we can't see the full version.

And even so the wall you wanna make is a bit too simple for AP I guess... You didn't extract the characters and just change the color of the entire thing with a simple filter...
Did you check around on some walls to see the kind of work and efforts that are needed to get a wall in the gallery?

I'm sorry to say that but this wall doesn't look like you really did work a lot on it...

My first advice would be to extract the two characters and add them on a parchment paper like the original picture... Then play around with some scenic background you create by using some stock picture you make it look like painting on the parchment...

But it's just an idea... But like xanaplayer said using a single color is not the best way to get accepted except if you're really skilled...

1) Sorry, I'm noob :)
dimensions of original pictures - 640*480, bad quality. In my work negativ + texturize filter create effect of good quality.
2) I saw much wall in gallery, my work is not so realy bad. :) Sometimes not necessary to do much to get something good. All geniusly - simply :)
3) I will try :)
PS: I have a very bad Englysh, sorry If I not understand something.

Maybe the sense of good quality but as you didn't read the AP guide you don't know that that kind of easy trick don't work with AP's mods.
Also the original size of your picture is not good enough.. The smallest required size is 1024*768 pixels.. So you're far from it...

You need to get an idea about how to make a wall and not trow two scans together adding a simple effect and telling the world it's a wall even if you would never find any screen with that size... -___-

You may see those as an easy trick, but you don't know what the authors do behind the scene, right? You shouldn't judge like that. If you want, try your easy trick and see the mod rejects your work. I don't think this will work. Parchment walls won't do very well unless you're very skilled. Either way, it'll look weird.
You should read the FAQ too "bg is the thing where you can shine your wallpaper"
I saw many kinds of works like this but at least they added something on their wall. And I don't even see any brushworks here.
Don't ever think that getting your work into the gallery is as easy as you think. You may see your wall fantastic, but we didn't.
And being n00b isn't a reason.

Well if you dare, try that easy trick of yours then. it's none of my business anyway
if you feel confident enough of that, then try to submit it. Though i'm pretty sure it'll be rejected.
You better work on the revisions rather than just listening to the comments and do nothing.

i think you better stop criticizing other members work.. and FIRST LOOK AT YOURS... and ask yourself.. Have i work enough?? am i being honest with my self??...
BEFORE CITRICIZING SOMEONE... FIRST LOOK AT YOURSELVE...
i got mad reading this thread... you have got no idea of how hard some people work on their walls for getting it approved...
i think you don't deserve of being helped...

(sorry... i don't usually get so mad... but i'm one hard walling worker.. so this felt a personal offence.. )
