This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

The greatest anime of all time is Full Metal Alchemist. It is simply the best anime ever. After watching anime over long periods of time, nothing much has come even close to Full Metal Alchemist.

My second favorite is One Piece.
My third favorite is Bleach.
Fouth is Cowboy Bebop.
And coming in at number 5 is Naruto.

I really think that the original Gunbuster: Aim for the Top is the greatest anime series of all time. Matter of fact, I believe it was actually the very first OVA series to ever get produced in Japan. The fact that it's being released on DVD for the first time by Bandai Visual is a very good thing.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Amazing quality, perfect seiyuus, great characters, astounding music, and of course, fun storyline. It's become my favorite anime of all time, and I'm anticipating upcoming ones, if they make one for every novel.

Series - Cowboy Bebop. To this day it's the only anime I can watch over and over and not get bored.

Movie - The Place Promised in Our Early Days. Everything about this movie is amazing. The art, the music, the story, it's all simply amazing.

Hmmm, im pretty new to anime myself, only been watching for about a year. One I would have to say is a personal favorite would have to be Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. Beck would be one of them as well as Cowboy Bebop. Eureka Seven is another, hell might as well make up a quick top 5, heh. Chobits would probably be on it. Chi is just so damn cute

Whiplash
The best anime I'w ever seen has to be the Full Metal Panic series. It has everything, intence action, heart beating drama and there is always time for a laugh. The only bad thing is that it needs atleast another season before its complete.
Bad thing? I say its AWESOME :D I'll be very very sad the day Full Metal Panic ends for good :(

To answer that is to be relative and bias, cause
the diversity of anime today is just the same as
there is a sand in a bottle--

before, i always thought of that belongs to DBZ
but then, new titles gives the right edge or distinctive
unbalanced. come as Naruto or even Rurouni--
still they'll face competition with others like Bleach--

but for now, i'll hold that for Bleach in anime

Vision of Escaflowne (TV Series, NOT the crappy movie) currently holds the top position in my book. Great animation, amazing storyline, huge/diverse world, incredible character development, great soundtrack, and even (GASP!) a perfect English dub! It's really an amazing anime. If you haven't watched it, you really should - it's a title that deserves to be called a classic.

Cowboy Bebop, as everyone else said, is a classic. Everything is damn near perfect, and the English dub is a actually considerably better than its Japanese counterpart.

In no specific order, other titles in my top 10 include Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic (all three), Chobits, and Fruits Basket.

I think Gundam Seed, even when it isn´t the first Gundam Series I watched, is (to me of course) the best anime series I ever watch.
The end of first episode, when the Strike Gundam arise from the fire, it´s superb. Or the end of episode 13, when Yzak blows the shuttle and Kira see all these people die in front of his eyes breakes my heart. I remember whe I saw it for the first time. Even when everybody see this coming (me includded) I feel very sorry for these people, for the little girl who died in this shuttle entering the atmosfer.
Or how not to feel bad, or angry whe Tolle and Nicole died... No one says "NO!!" when the skygrasper explode taking tolle´s life with it...
