I have a preorder on the FFXII Collector's Edition (US), but I'm still unsure of how much I will like XII. I played the demo, and I'm not much for that type of battle system (I don't play MMORPG's, so I'm not used to that kind of real time fighting). I prefer the type where I can sit and think about what to do without being attacked as I do it (ie enemies don't attack when I'm going through the menu options).

I got the demo when i bought DQ8. Felt kinda weird that it wasn't turn-based anymore but i'll play any game that has Final Fantasy in it. Just one more month to go.

I finished this game(jap version). it is a perfect game, a little easy but it will take at least 100 hours to finish it with all the sides quests.
Well i dont have it yet but i did reserve it, i think the gameplay is going to be good and the cinemas great, but i still dont have the full cover of the storyline though, but i can wait till the end of october :P
I am european and the game must be released some time in the year 2007. I played the american demo that appeared in Dragon Quest Vi and the game was...strange in my opinion.
I know that all Final Fantasy are different within them and this Final Fantasy XII was no exception. I started playing and the first thing that surprised me was the point of view of my entire party and, of course, the strange combats in this XII title.
The combats where like in the game Parasite Eve I from PSX, in real time but you have to wait the Time bar to fulfill and attack or make magic or something and so on.
The music was calm and suits perfectly with the atmosphere of the game..but the ausence of Nobuo Uematsu...is something Square is regreting now.
But well, is only a demo and I have to wait to the entire game to make an opinion of him ^^

Somehow...i don't think that a game like this would have been noticed had it not been included in the Final Fantasy series....it's just kinda odd to me that the only remaining Square titles are Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts
I still don't have it T_T it will still take a few months untill it comes to my country so i'll have to wait a bit longer...i want to play it so much!
I got it but really didnt like it... i was a bit dissapointed from FF 11 nyways... dont really like the new races... cant want till FF13 comes out though! saw the trailer! its going back to gunbaldes! yay! ^^

I played the demo too and it plays very strangely for me, but many reviewers have been told that the gameplay is deep and the overall game is better than the demo can offer, I think that SE are reinventing the game for good it's just time to get into the gameplay.
Strangely there's some pirate copies of this game for sale in my country and the game will not be out till 31 october, very strange if somebody knows something something about this copy please tell me.

The demo is nothing like the full game, don't even bother playing it.
I have the import, I've played it, I love it, I've beaten it at least a dozen times, the only thing I didn't do was kill the last two, uber hard, optional bosses.
People have slammed the gambit system because it "lets the game play itself" Umm... yeah. I'd like to see someone try to walk away from their controller while playing this, escpecially in some of the later areas.
Honestly, its more like Dragon Quest 8, but in real time, but the gambits (the macro system) has so much more depth that that. Its not just simply "use no magic" its, when poisoned use antidote, if monster is flying use far attack, when monster is near death use poach. You can have all those commands and others active on any character.
The only catch is, in order to use a gambit, you character must have learned the ability to use it, and you must have bought, or found the gambit command.
And for those who think that having all your characters perform their actions by themselves, you CAN turn the gambits off and play the game on the fly. Just make sure you have the game in "wait mode" (the game pauses when you menu is open) or else the baddies won't wait for you.

Quite honestly I've never been a huge Final Fantasy fan, but I'm excited about this one. I played 10, 8, and 11. 11 for 2 years.. :( The only problem is that I won't be able to play it until my bf beats it. He even has a week of vacation planned for this. Guess I won't be watching TV or really much of anything for that week since I don't want to spoil it for myself by accidently taking a peek :) *Crosses fingers so she won't peek*

bye bro!
