I ran across an wallpaper(not on animepaper) that contained a picture of a girl on what looked like a old WWII fighter plane (I think it was a F4F-3 Wildcat.) The plane was miniaturized to the point that she could sit on it, like a Crotch Rocket. At first I thought that this was just some random bit done by someone. However since then I have come across like 6 or 7 more wallpaper, and they all had miniaturized planes(different types.) The only problem is that after intense examination I was not able to find any thing that would indicate the name of the series. So I was wondering if maybe someone knows what I'm talking about, and could possibly help me out?

Personally I recommend 4chan for requesting assistance on wallpaper identification as they have a more diverse user-base.

PS: The only anime that comes to mind is Earth Defense Force Mao-chan. If it isn't the title that you are seeking, then you can try the methods suggested above.
