This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Most pointless argument. My coworker thinks that these walls and VECTORING is just easy and takes no talent... -_-

I've played Magna Carta, and i'd have to say I didn't enjoy it one bit. The english voices were a bit disappointing, as well as the slow chore-like gameplay. Besides, what fun is there in playing a game where they give a full walkthrough for it with the tiny book that comes with it? Seems they wanted to get by on the girls having large chests alone.

Crimson Stigmata was released outside of Japan as Tears of Blood to placate religious lobby groups.

Hm, who cares about voices? It´s what everyone wanted, now you got what you want. Don´t complain then.

One thing that is boring is that you have to play in detection mode, otherwise this game is great.

And I don´t think they only released the deluxe version of the game. The walktrough you get isn´t good, doesn´t give any good info or anything.

the fighting is fun, since you have to be there to be able to fight, you can´t sit and sleep like you can do with FF games. Having chi is another tactical experience that I really liked.

Let´s see here, Reith have big breasts yes, but how often does she show them of ala DOA? The game isn´t concentrating on her large breasts.
To be perfectly fine I don´t notice the big breasts. If you look at the artwork then for Eonis her breasts are much bigger than in the game.

So where do they try and sell the game on the big breasts? I haven´t found anything yet.

Personally I didn`t like the game too much, but might return to it later, who knows.....it all depends on the type of story you like and such. For me, I like sci-fi futuristic settings (Xenosaga series) or really dark, deep stories (shin megami tensei games) whilst the battle system was quite fun, and the combos looked damn good, I just didn`t like the environment of the game, or the story. I know, for others it may be what attracted them towards the game, but it`s all a matter of personal taste :)

its no FF

That's what really gets me. There is no point in comparing two games that have no similarities whatsoever.

I bought Magna Carta the day it came out, and for what reason? I liked the box art. Nothing more. And to my surprise, I was hooked after the first training fight. Mastering styles and then improving them, such a lovely battle system, I couldn't be more happy. I love the game in every aspect, aside from not being to travel backwards at times, but in the end you can travel everywhere, so that complaint is soon remedied. I don't play this game much, simply so I can savor every moment of it. At tops, I played around 3 hours a week because I didn't want to grow tired of it. No recent game, aside from the Digital Devil Saga series, has caught my attention such as this one.

I've been playing MC for a while now. I stopped due to classes so I haven't finished it yet. Overall, it's a good game. I like the originality of the battle system, though I admit, I do get frustrated at it sometimes whenever I fail to line the commands properly and whatever Trinity Drive I have is shot to hell. The styles are especially interesting, and it's good that most of the characters have their own unique style. They're not difficult to master at all, but I wish it didn't cost so much half the time to train at the dojos. If I think about it, though, mastering the styles is like mastering the limit breaks on FF7 - there's a certain number of times you have to use it before you can perceive a new move and eventually reach completion.

I actually think the voices are pretty good, although admittedly, some of the girls have far too squeaky voices for me to like. (I especially dislike Reith's.) And they have weird pauses at times, which end up sounding monotonous. But on the whole, considering that I had expected horrible NA voice acting, it was good.

The only thing I didn't really like is the linearity of the game - you can't go anywhere except the place you're supposed to go. I'm halfway through the game now and I still wonder if side quests are possible at all. There are 1 or 2 dojos I skipped that I'd like to get back, for example, and that seems impossible as I continue. Also, the loading time seems kind of primitive now. (Although you do get used to it after a while.)

I really loved this game but it suffered greatly from two things, IMO. The first was how linear the game was, I felt like I was playing FFX all over again! The second was the voice acting... I cried at how bad it was :(

It's a unique game...The battle system for one. Reminds me of Legend of Dragoon, it's all about timing. But it can get pretty boring with all the tutorials and the game itself it quite slow. There's a lot of new concepts which takes a while to get used to. If you want a challenge game this is a good bet. I for one have no other games to play as of now and is playing it. The graphics is good and vibrant.

I think the Final Fantasy series is not a standard to compare other games with it. This is one of the reasons why gamers won't bother playing any other new games because they'll say FF was better and won't even try it. There are a lot of good games to try out there but most gamers won't even bother trying them. I like trying out new games hat's how I cam across a lot of good games not related to Fianl Fantasy.

This game is in english. The japanese version is called Magna Carta: Crimson Stigmata, not Magna Carta: Tears of Blood.

So this is the english version of it.

Its great RPG for me as long as the story is nice and good (my requirement for good RPG, standard gameplay is ok for me)
but personaly i like Legend of Dragoon and StarOcean battle system than MagnaCarta (its kinda too slow just for one battle but this solved (not really solved) by no random encounter)
yet, its still great.
