This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

It looks a lot scarier than the original... i'm sure...

Johnny Dept. XD. He looked like a girl... which was really scarey. And that hand motion he does... my uncle likes to do that.

The trailer definitely terrified me (and of course, had to make the Jackson reference, too, heh), but am addicted to that movie now. Actually, M. Depp looks extremely gorgeous like that (and I have a personal hatred toward him) so that right there is enough, heh. Really well-made movie and extremely funny as well.

The movie is kind of creepy because the book was intended to be kind of creepy. This movie follows the tone and story of the book much more closely than the original movie (though it was embellished somewhat as well). Roald Dahl's family was unhappy with the first film because they felt it was too goofy. ^_~ I, for one, absolutely adore the new one. Johnny Depp is a brilliant actor, and together with Tim Burton they created a very memorable character. ^_~

I really think the only really scary part of the movie was the umpa lumpas...i don't know...something about tiny little creepy men in leather clad singing musical numbers about the most horrible you can think of makes my inner child shriek with fright...but that's just me

I rather liked the film. I still love Tim Burton's style of direction (the factory looks much better this time around, in my opinion), especially since the Bucket family is a little more miserable in poverty than they were in the 1970s version. It made me feel a little more when Charlie found the golden ticket, as well as near the end
SPOILER (click to view)
I was a bit put-off with Christopher Lee as the Wonka father. Everytime he appeared, I was expecting him to pull out a lightsaber and scream "I said NO CHOCOLATE!"

To tell you the truch, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to. I think it's good that they made Willy Wonka seem a bit creepier this time around, though. It's just more Roald Dahl-ish.
But I liked the oompa loompas better in the origional. They were all orange and green.

Woah. How did they ever replace the faces?

I haven't seen the movie yet, and the trailers are always a throw off for me, so I can't say much about how they made Willy Wonka. I do wonder why they didn't make him as crazy looking, wearing the purple clothes, and give him blonde hair though.

Holy crap jonny depp is one freaky person. i mean who can go from looking 24/7 drunk in Pirates of the Carribean to 100 percent high and quite young in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. IT MAKES ME SHIVER!. And yes it did remind me of michael jackson...

I think its really neat how he can such a diversivied actor, never playing the same part twice, and being able to look and sound completely different in some movies to me is quit talented.

Anyway, I saw the movie and I though it was good. I really did like the way Tim Burton directed it. It was funny, yet dark and creepy, unlike the origional movie, which seemed like it was made entirly for children. This new one can be enjoy by all. The one thing I liked better in the origional was the oompa loompas. Other than that, I enjoyed how there was more emphasis on Charlies family, as well as seeing the results of all the children in this new movie, also some of Willy Wonka's backround was nice to see.

Johny Depp is an amazing actor. he's extremely diverse and in some movies you cant even recognize him. Hmm... Mikey in Snatch, was that him or some one else? I dont remember. Anyway, I loved most of his movies and i really wanna see charie and the chocolate factory. Even though he does look like Jack from Nighmare before christmas in it.

Willy Wonka is a really great movie :X Especially cuz Tim Burton directed it. It's more...you can say "crazy" than the original and I think he purposely mad Willy Wonka look "scary" as you guys say. Tim Burton+Johnny Depp+Danny Elfman (the music composer XD )=Great Movie!

:3 Those three are really good together (because they did Edward Scissorhands together as well).

Johnny Depp is a great actor. He plays the weirdest roles, that's why I like him :3
