I'd like to see more girls active in anime.
The girls I've been with have seen little or no anime.

Well it would be nice, but I don't want to spend too much time on anime. There are other things in life and I would like to enjoy them as well. But then again, loving anime together and having the common love for it would be nice to share and maybe even watch anime together. Hmm... heh

Well, my gf is as much into anime as I am, and her manga collection is many times larger,. So in answer to your question, yes girls do liek anime, and yes they do go out with guys that also like it.

i always found it hard to find guys who were into anime, or at least had more of an opinion of it than "it's cool."

The ratios are shrinking drastically. I live in FL, where there are a LOT of conventions and it appears the ratios are damn near 1:1 for guys and girls.
Go to a convention...especially in a cool costume. Don't look for the girls, they'll find you and chat you up about your costume. Girls seem to love well done Miroku, Ed Elric, Cloud Strife, ect. Bishonen they recognize pretty much take the cake.

Yea I agree with you on that one, most people I know who like aniem are guys. But there quite alotta girls who like anime also.

Some guys think girls who love animes are nerdy, fat, and ugly because all they do are stay in the house and watch anime. I asked some guys who love anime, will they want their gf to love anime or not. The Answer is NO because they are ugly.
This is so untrue. I am a girl.....I love anime.....and I might know more animes than some guys. God.....just try to make your gf or bf like anime the same way you do......at least you guys should have something in common....

Well there's a chick I know who loves anime more than I do, even though she's seen less series than me. But sometimes it's kinda freaky how she doesn't have any touch with everything else. For instance, "Hey look, a tribute to John Lennon", "What Lemon?" or "Holy crap, Indiana Jones 4's in the making, and Harrison Ford's in it", "Who's India Jones?"

I think you guys misread this thread. I'm not looking for one here. I'm just saying in general from experience. Seems that most of the girls I find know very little or few americanized (ex: Princess Monoke, Spirited Away) or just the ones that are on Adult Swim. Those are normally the ones that are really not into anime but dont mind it. I'm happy that alot of people gave their opinions, with the exception of the two haters out there.
