It's amazing the first Direct X10 graphic card is out by nvidia and it's so good; look :

It blows everything :-)
Just look at what insane resolutions you can play without disabling other effects ...
It's too amazing; i just can't wait till i got one.
And you, will you buy this monster ? Or will you wait ati's reply ?
Or may sli ...... ?
Just talk here your opinions about this graphic cards (8800 series).

Well its gunna cost like what 600 or something, though i am in the market just not right now i dont have the money or a job so ill prob get a job after christmas then save up buy one, then save up for some more ram. Cant wait seeing how im already on vista rc2 and my graphics card isnt enough to support aero at full but it still looks awsome.
*bows to the master*
nVidia does rock the compatibility and power usage universe. I even heard they were going to encorporate Geo-Morph technology in the next version of the 8800, for support in games like Call of Duty and City of Heroes/Villans for real-time updating battle damage in games that didn't have that technology yet (on our pitiful user systems). I am very stoked. Unfortunately, I bit on the first 512 MB ATI card, since nVidia didn't have their card out yet when I built my newest PC. Now I have to sit in the corner and wait until something happens to my computer . . . *eyes the soda nearby the case*

I think I just wait until next year man you know those two (Nvidia & Ati) are both damn insane in creating the best vid card ever surely ati will reply and when that happend certainly nvidia wil do the same thing about this monster well that was a reply from ati latest monster X1950 and this card rock man then nvidia reply with N8800GTX and then ati will done the same what I heard the rumour said that ati will create 1000 MHz GPU in core prossesor and that would be amazing because today it can only reach until 650MHz for me I will wait the following year to come and that would be next year man
The thing looks like a leaf blower, and a 450W PSU is required. I'll pass. Then again my monitor refresh still lags because of my resolution so maybe I will have to upgrade to this class of card eventually. I love my power supply more than my video card so I'll have to wait until another revision.
Lol that's just plain overkill for any program i have now...

Performance is not all about the core clock. nVidia has done an incredible work on the architecture of its core, using unified shaders and ATI'd better to do the same if they want to take back the crown. I'm really looking forward to seeing of the DX10 games will run on these new generation GPUs.

Yes, it's sure it's expensive but it's the same price as 2 sli ones and you'll have better performances ;-)
But i think it's better to have a really good cpu, ... -> machine before putting that inside ...
A very very good power supply is needed too.
Does anyone now a good powerful one since i'm thinking of mounting a new computer but after january;
knowing i've got a lot of devices -> i need a lot of power cables ?
May be it's a god idea to wait to a middle range 8000 series like a 8600 GT ?
What do you think ?
Anyway, i'm glad that nvidia solved the management of anti-aliasing & ...

I'd rather wait. ATI is probably doing the waiting game to make sure the Windows VISTA releases to the public first before doing anything drastic like this. I mean, wouldn't it suck to find out having Nvidia may release something like an 8850 GT on us?
I mean, have you guys seen the 8800 GTX card? It's ridiculously long. and I thought my 7800GTX was long =/

Yea, the 8800GTX is one very big thing. But damn the performance. I'm really exited about nVidia's new series and I actually think the price isn't that bad (the GTS costs like $450 and is almost equal to the 7950GTX in performance, or at least above the 7900GTX).
I really want to have a 8800 serie card in my next PC (scheduled to be build next summer), but lets await ATI's reaction to this and ofcourse the release of Vista and DX10.

Yeah the preformace are off the walls! I suppose if you had the money you could get one right now at newegg for around $650.
As for me, I'm stuck with this old computer and maybe next year I will build a new one. Hopefully, the card's price will drop cause I'm really looking forward to upgrade my system with a small budget.

I don't get this :S ati has up to 1 gig in gddr4, but nvidia has 1 gig in gddr3 and usually beats the crap out of the ati cards?

The graphic core is just better.
Ya bettr by one hells of a lot
that thing is a freakin monster
the architecture is a complete revolutioN!
128 shaders...384bit memory...and I have even seen signficant overclocks...god...
damn i want one i my next build for Christmas...
another hardware site
http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/11/08/geforce_8800/
I do, however, hope that in the future they can make graphics cards cooler and more efficient with stuff like 45nm manufac. process , design optimizations, etc...
at this rate theyll need to make gfx cards 3-slot pretty soon...lol...
also...I am hearing that benchmarkers are running into CPU limitations even with the Core 2 Extreme...
get your asses up Intel, AMD...u software makers need to start creating multithreaded stuff too...
I still expect to see some good stuff from AMD/ATI in the future as well
maybe some crazy 8 core with a trio of ATI gfx cards all connected in hypertransport or something...

I knew something like that was gonna come out, but i didnt know how soon...so i got myself a x1900xtx ATI heh..heh... -_- the cards been tripping on me, overheating i think...

bye bro!
