Hi there can I ask you fellow gamers what are the scary games you have played and heard of cause im kinda outdated as a late buyer of the PS 2 console XP I have heard about fatal frame 1-3, clock tower 3, silent hill 2-4, resident evil. Can you name other games and the type of gameplay they are.Thanks
Silent Hill 2-4 you already listed but those are the scaries games for the systems by far. CLocktower isn't really that scary more of a run away game and the battlesystem when you do battle is lame. Resident Evil series is always nice, with good scares here and there. Fatal Frame is a good scare series, always something unusual happening. THing is those are really the only horror series out there that are any good. there are Games like Haunting Grounds and stuff like that out, but there isn't many out there worth anything. I would stick with what you already stated.

Painkiller is pretty scary. It gets so hectic and all those demons and things running at you can get really scary.
Doom 3 is scary in the sense that monster pop out and startle u. FEAR is also kinda scary.

Silent Hill and Resident Evil series are pretty good in that department.
However, if you have a GCN and want to invest in a psychological thirller, try renting/buying Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Though a short game, very underrated.

You've already noted all the PS2's scary games I can think of. Fatal Frame being the slowest pace of the 3, followed by Silent Hill then Resident Evil. Although RE 4 isn't quite as scary as the others in the series since you're usually fully loaded with the appropriate weapons and ammo. Never played Clock Tower so no comment on that.
I've heard Siren is pretty freaky too, but again haven't played it, I think it was kind of a mix of RE and Silent Hill from the screens I've seen of it.
If you happen to have a Gamecube and haven't tried it already, I highly recommend the Remake of Resident Evil 1 followed by Resident Evil Zero, those two are GC exclusives and excellent additions to the series. Plus the Cube has Eternal Darkness which is good stuff too.

Fatal Frame 2 and since Resident Evil 4 just came out for ps2 i would suggest that too, and maybe Haunting Ground.
Well survival horror arre very good games to play with company I think...I remember played the following list and the scariest for me was the Silent Hill 1 game (ufff):Silent Hill 1,2,3 and 4:The Room, Resident evil 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica, Gaiden, Gun Survivor, 4 and Director´s Cut of Resident Evil 1, Extermination (one of the firsts survival horror games for PS2), Fatal Frame, Eternal Darkness, Obscure (very good game for two players (for play with your boyfriend or girlfriend), Doom 3 (can´t we cataloge this game in this list?), Koudelka (A RPG game with terror facts) and more.
I would say Resident Evil 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica. Resident Evil is mostly a gun shooting games. there's many scene where the zombie will pop up out of no where! it nearly giv me a heart attack. it's very intresting too with all the ugly hideous zombie face. Juon is kinda scary too. it's something like exorcist games. it's kinda scary in few scenes! especially the music of little girl singing at the opening scene. it really gives me a chill >.<

Not sure, have yet to play this, but heard that F.E.A.R is pretty scary. It's on PC, but you have one, don't you? ;)
You should try Nanobreaker. SHadow fo the Colosess, not exactly scary but makes ya jump a little bit, and The suffering II.

I only play games on my ps2 so PC games and others are exception XP

Capcom has finally released the PS2 version of RE4 so go get it...
And if you want scary, I suggest going for Silent Hill series, the RE series, Clocktower and the Fatal Frame series which it seems you've already played. SO... try the suffering or DOOM3, it's sorta scary at first, kinda makes you jump

I would love to play Haunting Ground. Thats seems like fun to play, but also scary from what I have seen
