This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I've played every RE, Silent Hill 2-4, and Clive Barker's Undying, but the only game that has ever made me really scared was SH1 for the PS1. It's old, but it's still one of the most visceral, scary anythings ever.

Back in myearly USA-vacations: Scary Game for me was guess what the first Street Fighter 2. Man I was so afraid of Honda and his Kabuki Face at that time... I saw some Kids playing Street Fighter in Arcade Mode vs AI. And when one reached Honda,... the Kid said "Oh no, I will never beat this!!" And he woul fail indeed. Eating Honda's 100 Hands-Special Move, I ran the hell away, when I remember correctly.
It took me I guess 2 more years until I played Street Fighter 2 "without Fear" and... being the best among my friends back in Germany. Thinking back I can only laugh about myself like "Damn, and you were afraid of this shit" *shaking my head*

or another Case: C64-games like World Game *laughs*...

Discipline Weight Lifting. My brother made the Character lifting a weight, he was called downstairs from my mom for a second, and I was supposed to watch. Man I couldn't even play correctly... so I let it slip, watched the Character crashing through the bottom and I screamed like "AAAAAHHHH, he's dead, hea's deeead!" My father came upstairs scolded me and switched of the CPU -_-° ....

Hm...I'd have to say Silent Hills 1-3 were very scary for my friends and I. I can't say much for 4 because I didn't play it...I mostly watched it.

And by watch, I mean really watch, on tape. My friend likes to record playing so when she gets special scenes or special endings she can just watch it whenever she can and she can have others watch it too.

The king of all "survival horror" games at the moment just has to be Resident Evil 4 for the Nindento GC! The gameplay is very good and because it's played from an over the shoulder type of third person perspective it gives a fresh take on the Resident Evil franchise. This game is more action oriented and no more are the annoying backtracking and stuck points of figuring out what to do next when you hit a dead-end of previous Resident Evil titles. Even if you're not a fan of RE games i would still recommend this game as it is so different to the previous ones. It has great graphics and a good difficulty curve that doesnt put the player off yet provides a balanced challenge.

Is there a site that has run throughs of games like that? I'd be interested in looking at games for consoles that I don't own and such.

I liked the whole silent hill series but I just thought the first one was the best. An old game for sure, but it's a great one.

The scariest game i ever played was probably resident evil because it was the first true game to introduce you to zombies, which brought on the whole craze for zombie games.

Scariest game for me?
Aliens vs Predator on the PC,

trust me, but brightness down, play in a dark room with surround sound and play Marine mission.. the motion tracker gives out proper scary tension, you find yourself shooting at black spots just to make sure there's no aliens/facehuggers.. the motion tracker is the best scary device ever!!

recently, i played FEAR and that was kind of fun, too much shooting and not enough scary in that.

Doom 3, Doom 3 Resurrection of Evil and the Resident Evil games. Demons and zombies poppin' out of no where, and gunnin' them down to a pulp while trying to keep yourself alive. Freakiest games I've ever played.

Doom 3 didn't scare me much, maybe because I barely fear any game. But there has been 1 game, Clock Tower. You are being chased by a psycho with a big sizzor. Havn't played any RE because I didn't like them when they came, maybe gonna test them later. AvP scared the shit out of me when those facehuggers came, that scream to so loud

The original Castlevania by Konami on the Nintendo Entertainment System used to really freak me out when i was a little kid. The music used was very eerie and creepy, the idea of a lone guy venturing into a huge castle full of monsters is kinda frightening for a kid too!
