The best rpg is prolly eiather FF VII or the Kingdom Hears series... ffvii was a big step in the whole rpg world and imo everything falls short of it... KH is great cuz it was someting differnt wen it first launched.. it too has changed the face of RPGs

Suikoden V the story is just amazing and the entire game is alot of fun.

For me, my favorite, for now is wild arms: alter code f because it has a nice story, simple battle system, good character models and hard bosses. The most challenging part is collecting all Ex Files even with the help of the guide. (You would probably have a harder time completing it without the guide.) If you fail to collect all then you will have to start from the beginning which is annoying considering that this game is too long. (It took me 150 hours to finish everything including the Ex Files.) So you will have to do it on one run. But all in all the game is great.

FINAL FANTASY AND KINGDOM HEARTS!! BEST RPGS EVER!!
Hehe this is so tought i like all games but ill just list the ones ive finished since i like them alot=)
1. Final fantasy 8 my fav cuz it was my 1st rpg and had a crush on squall:P
2.legend of mana 2nd fav i just love the 2d graphics and my char kicked butt.
3.star ocean 3 till the end of time longest game for me to beat<_>
4.fire emblem path of radience i love tactical rpgs and this is my fav one took me 3 tries to beat the end boss.
5.final fantasy 10 i just loved it and tidus was so kawaii
6.final fantasy 10-2 i know not everyone loves this game but i did cuz i found it fun and shortest game for me to beat.
7.legend of dragoon i just loved this game i beat end boss using prolly the hardest combo known to gamers dart,meru and miranda:P
8.golden sun 1 and 2 this game was just so fun and addictive i would stay up into the wee hours of the night just to play more<_>
9.Dark cloud 1 and 2 underrated rpg but i found it so fun doing all teh dungeons and remaking villages and towns and collecting georama.=)
10.Kingdom hearts such a great game i had fun hanging out with ariel and doing the different worlds took me awhile to beat end dude and i worked to get all the good gear but it all paid off in the end=)

The Best RPG Game for me is Skies of Arcadia legends (Eternal Arcadia)
i Love it so much, the Story and the Charakters are Great!
The effects and battle systems are very cool
and the Music *o*

Best rpg's i played are Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Radiata Stories, Golden Sun and Riviera and...yep that's all i can think of right now xD

My favorite RPG has got to be Chrono Trigger. The characters, music, gameplay, and indepth story was just too good for me to handle~ o=
Xenogears, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Chrono Cross are close seconds.

Xenogears has a really good story but it lacks in gameplay...
My Favorites are: Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, Star Ocean 2 + 3, Tales of the Abyss and Kingdomhearts 2

The best RPG for me is Final Fantasy Vi, the characters have got a lot of charisma and Linoa is the best girl character of all RPG for me. That's why Iwould say Final Fantasy Vi.
I like Alter Code F and love Chrono Cross, but I'd choose Breath of Fire. 3 and 4. They all have good characters, but 3 and 4 has a better battle system and better-looking graphics. (5 is ok, but I don't have the time to play all that time without saving. Indeed, saving in BoF 5 is hard. ><; )
