WHAT DO YOU THINK OF GEAR OF WAR

Won't be able to give ya an answer till tommorow evening when I come home from work and start play that sweet sucka!

Curse you Americans and your 10 day lead on us Europeans :). I'll be buying this game next week purely for the co-op play. I'm sure that everything else about the game will be fantastic (as the reviews are making it out to be), but as a huge fan of Halo it's the thought of playing the game through with a friend or even over Xbox Live which has got me excited.

The sheer violence factor is also interesting - I can't think of any other games where you can run up to a bad guy, jab a grenade into their body, and then run off followed by delicious meaty chunks. That's going to make for some fun multiplayer games.

It's been fun so far. It's a great looking game and you're constantly on the go. Violence level is super ridiculous, you have a chainsaw-bayonette (That means you've got a chainsaw attached to the end of your gun for close combat) I haven't gotten too far into it, but I will say that there are moments while we were playing the multiplayer that are so chaotic that the only words that you can get out of your mouth is "WHAT IS THAT THING?!! RUN! RUN!!" ^_^

Hehe sounds awesome, that's exactly what I was hoping for. The best moments are playing multiplayer against insane odds with seconds to spare (like jumping into the escape ship in Halo 1's last level with three seconds left on the clock).

It's good to see companies focus more on the coop aspect of games now. With Rainbow Six out some time this month, Army of Two coming soon, and of course the almighty Halo 3, the Xbox is going to be fully kitted out for coop games.
