Yes, why not? 'Thanks' isn't that hard to say. It's just a combination of letters that have different pronunciations, and when you pronounce them together, it becomes a word! It's no different from saying 'hello'. The world is nonsensically impolite and rude enough. Don't add on to it. Instead, try to undo it by being polite.

But when requesting something, or when someone has gone out of their way to do something kind for me, I'll always say thank you. I also use "much appreciated," but it's relatively the same thing.
My friend says I use it too much, to the point where it sounds forced, but I don't even know I'm doing it half the time. Common courtesy is a dying form, unfortunately. I guess "thank you" does sound a bit forced nowadays.

Yup! "thank you" this word is a important word. when you say this word to anther person after he/she helped you in solving your problems, he/she could be delighted to help you out the next time. it gives that person a feeling that you appreciate his/her help and gives that person a kind of pleasure. ^__^

Yeag id people deserve a thanks i say it. but sometimes if it is necessary or not really necessary its difficult to say it. i dunno why . i want to but i cant in some moments. maybe it is too embarresing
