Caffeine: Best friend to students and anime addicts!
Caffeine is definitely my support for college. I tend to stay up prett ylate, and it gets pretty hard as the night goes on. A cup of tea, coffee, milk tea, some energy drink, or even coke immediately fixes that. For some reason, I seem to have a pretty low tolerance to caffeine. One cup of coffee can allow me to pull an all nighter. I admit though that I don't ever drink anything too strong. Anyways, I love caffeine and it helps so much.

Once in a while i guess...
I remember there was this drink in shops called \"Relentless\" and i remember how i always tend to get sleepy during English class.
After drinking it...my eyes felt like the owls, it was wide open for an hour and a half O_O <<< just like that.
Helps also with anime especially when watching till 2-4 in the morning cuz if the anime tends to go into talk mode it gets kinda boring and i tend to get sleepy and then dont get the story at all XD
So i say yes caffeine is very useful (but deadly sometimes?) and its one of my bestfriends

I started drinking coffee on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings because I have morning classes on those days. It keeps me from falling asleep during the lectures, but it doesn't take away the boredom. I daydream to take away the boredom, but if I continue doing that the professor may call on me one day to answer a question and I will not know what to say. Hehe, looks like I need something else to stay focused.

Mmm As for me, I drink coffee rarely... its energy drink for me. I try to drink less so I wouldn't be dependent on it.

Ah, yes. I love that good brown stuff ^__^ Its the stuff that keeps me up all night in my PC when I want to or when I'm doing any type of academic work. My mother in the past has always forbid me of coffee, saying it was too strong for me, "Lyle, you should not drink it, it is bad for you." To be frank, I started drinking this 1337 strong stuff a few years back when I was 10, I wanted to taste from my dad so I did and let me tell you, both otaku and school life, coffee has been one of my power ups for staying up way late at night without falling asleep next to the PC.

Best thing you can do is get those sachets of hot chocolate and add a teaspoon of coffee, and then a teaspoon of sugar. Mocha!!
'Cause then you get the coffee taste with the sugar making it a little more pleasant, and the chocolate making the experience similar to that of a big warm... chocolatey... blanket!~
People will get annoyed if i start a topic about tea... but yeah... i'm pretty big on the beverages.
Oohhh, i just realised that tea also has caffeine in it... so turning the discussion towards tea is perfectly acceptable! Mwahahahaha...
---- Tea ----
I drink a couple of different kinds: English, Chamomile, Green, and Peppermint. They're all decent, and act as good companions during a night of hard-core study, anime, or gaming.
Any of you guys tea-fans, or am I an old man in a teenager's body?
Much obliged.

I used to drink coffee like it was water. Then I developed a nasty ulcer and coffee no more per medic's orders. Funny thing is later on I managed to "develop", or whatever you might call it, the 'ability' to sleep only 3-4 hours. With an average 20 hours of time a day I can do more than some. Including watching anime like theres no tomorrow. Playing games like an uber noob. And oh yeah... ocasionally get some work done and study my french...
Coffee is a life-saver sometimes...
As for me, i like coffee very mutch. Every morning i drink it in the university. =)) Without it i will sleep at all my lessons )))
I don't really think, that Caffeine is the best friend. It makes some people sleepy, like me for example ^_^ So I prefer to drink green tea.

I have to wake up at 6:00 to get ready and drive all the way to school. I don't know what I would do without coffee.

I saw this topic and just had to contribute.
i used to be huge on coffee. during my university days, i remember for a few months i was drinking some 6 cups of coffee a day. i knew about the possibility of caffeine addiction and dependency on it, but didn't see it as a bad thing. and when i was younger, caffeine had no effect on me... i still slept like a log.
then one day, i decided not to have coffee. oh, the HEADACHE! so i found out then that the withdrawal symptoms for caffeine is a HUGE headache that lasts for 2 weeks. damn, i was on painkillers for 2 weeks before the headache gradually went away.
then a few years passed, i went back on caffeine to stay awake at work - this time using black tea. black tea, some research says, has 3 times the caffeine content than coffee. and i was drinking like, 3 BIG cups of that stuff a day. i worked at that place for 3 years fulltime... and i was addicted to drinking that stuff. so when one day i decided to give it up again, wham! back came the huge headache for a week. and back i went on the painkillers.
anyway yeah... nowadays, i only drink the occasional cup of tea or coffee... i think back then i was drinking so much of that stuff coz of stress, and i realised that it was coz of the stress, but i couldn't do anything about it.
moral of the story is - stay away from that stuff! lol XD
