This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Energy Drinks

Recently, I found out the sheer power of energy drinks. I'm not talking about energy drinks to do sports or some kind of physical activity, rather, I am talking about studying. My concentration boosts to extreme heights when I drink one. This helps for classes that don't require active studying. Classes that are considered to be active studying are subjects like math, economics, and management. For reading classes, energy drinks help a ton.

I have tried red bull, full throttle, monster, and rockstar. Red bull just tastes horrible, monster and rockstar taste the same, and fullthrottle tastes the best. The most effective is probably FT and Rockstar for me. I can't really down red bull because of its sheer craposcity of taste.

I was wondering which have you tried and which taste and provide the best results for you? Do you use energy drinks for other things besides studying? I'm sure you do, but for what?

Actually, I've never tried Red Bull, Monster or any of those energy booster drinks before.

In order to stay awake for studies I just load up on caffiene in its other forms. Thai Tea is really good. Green Tea as well keeps me going for sometime. Otherwise, we have this really nice Italian coffee that my uncle gave us. Really good, very fine.

Although, my system has gotten so used to the caffiene consumption over the many years I've been drinking soda, coffee, tea, etc...that, like for most, I need to take in more in order to get the same effect and that contributes to me using more bathroom breaks than I should, which really cuts in your study time.

When you drink so much, it seems like it goes on forever. Hey, I may even try for a spot in the Guiness Book of World Records holding the title for longest time.

I've found these neat juice drinks at local grocery stores called "Fuze". Each flavor has it's different attributes, but my favorite is the Orange Mango. It has a crapload of Vitamin A, C, E, and Electrolytes. The stuff differs per flavor--there's one that "curbs your appetite" for weight loss, for instance.

I get really "energized" when I drink these on a regular basis.

I drink Full Throttles as well when I need to pull an all nighter to finish a paper or something. It's really strong, or maybe I just have a low tolerance. I can last a whole night and until the afternoon the next day by just drinking one Full Throttle. As for taste, I find that most energy drinks are pretty nasty, and Full Throttle is no exception; it tastes like soap and burns my lips and throat.

Energy drinks don't really seem to help me all that much. I found that sleeping an hour when I get really tired can keep me up many hours after.

I've only been drinking Red Bull though so perhaps I need something stronger.

I've tried energy drinks but I'm not a huge fan - they ALL taste awful! What are their ingredients?? I never care to read but yuck!

When I'm low on power I take a 5 - 10 minute nap. This always help me. For drinks to stay awake ... I do coffee or soda (even those that are caffeine-free). These always give me a good kick. I think cause my body can locate sugar in anything to give me power ... hehehe.

The canned Red Bull is a cheap copycat of the Thai's Red Bull (it even says Red Bull on the label with Thai/Chinese writings - my dad used to drink these when he lived overseas (in the 70s)). The Thai's Red Bull tastes A LOT better and works A LOT better and stonger. I can't feel anything from the canned version - I guess it's because the FDA put a limit on it.

I read an article here that a guy mixed an energy drink with his alcohol drink and he ended up in the ER afterwards. I guess mixing those two drinks aren't good for the body ... or maybe the guy couldn't handle the rush.

I don't really try any of those (redbull, rockstar, etc), but I have to say I'm a fan of the starbucks doubleshots. It's really too bad they cost so much money though, at like 5 dollars for a pack of 4 cans.

Some of my friends, especially when we were in high school, would down things like rockstars daily, but I never really cared for them. Its mostly a taste issue for me, that and as someone said, I'm not a big fan of the ingredients.

For studying? Normally I'll make sure that I pace out my studying so I either have time to finish it during the week, or that I have enough time to at least take 10 minute breaks every hour. That usually works for me, though I'll say that nothing in the world could help you read something that you find truly truly boring.

Full throttle is the only that I found to taste ok but I'm not really into energy drinks, instead I also load up on caffine and other forms of sugar

I like Rockstar the best for effectiveness and taste.

I don't use energy drinks often though, as I love coffee and only need jolts of energy when trying to drive a long ways.

Did you even read that wiki page? There's nothing on there that says anything about the health aspects of drinking energy drinks.

The only thing that you can read on that page about the health aspects is clicking a link that is contained on that page.

Simply having sugar isn't enough to make it so unhealthy as to avoid. Soda is just as bad. "Unhealthy stuff" really doesn't tell what is so unhealthy about it.

Energy drinks are fine as long as you don't down like 2-3 a day. Stick to once a day and youll be fine.
