So what cha think? i like how it came out but there are small details im not sure on and i want to see you all see the samethings i am or am i just seeing things...

extraction of character are clean and nice quality but maybe you can improve a little more by cleaning
and... well that background don't work at all... the modern beach isn't where they are supposed to be
for the emblem at middle... its kinda blury.. maybe you can sharpen it or... vector it
also signature is kinda big

This is what it looked like before the beach background... i kinda like the beach more cause it doesnt look like its not in the anime as there are a lot of modern things within the anime and this was taken in Japan by me a year ago... (i just cleaned up the leaf a little as well) oh and the link was fixed to work like this one ...
Hm.. I like the second version better, but now it's just gradient... maybe you shoul add something to make it less simple, although I like it.. lol

im still unsure of the background although i like the black one the most... any ideas? im still new to certain features in Photoshop and i have version 6 of it so i might be limited compared to others... or do you feel that one of them is good to send in? let me know cause im stuck on what to do...

Eh, i think it's too plain, and the roughness of the leaf emblem and the scans doesn't necessarily fit with a smooth shaded in background. I think it'd look cooler if the emblem were maybe etched into stone or coarsely painted on something rather than just floating in space. I liked the gradient pic more than the black bg one simply because it seemed less empty.
Your foreground elements are fine. The extraction has been handled well. It does require a background of some sort though... something to compliment the existing elements of your work. Your initial version's background I found didn't achieve this. The obvious filter over a stock photo detracted from rather than enhanced your work.
It's okay to have a simple background...
However, why don't you try to play with some brushes and renders for the background. I think I'd be nicer to see since the current one is rather plain. On top of that, it has no light effects after all >.<; Gomenasai if I'm too harsh.

So i tried some of the things you all mentioned but i have no idea how to create some of the colorful backgrounds ive seen on some of the walls on this site... heres it is!
The background effect is a little too reliant on filters again but is otherwise coming along fine. It matches better than the original photo.
i dont know how to do anything but filters on this program >_< hence why im asking for help...
You need to come up with a concept first... something you're trying to do. Filters can by all means be used but it shouldn't be completely obvious as is the case above.

The symbol is too stark, it makes the colors of the characters look dull ~ tone down the white symbol a bit.
BG is to plain...nice colors though ^^ ~ since the characters look like they were done in watercolor, try a BG in that effect too. (just a suggestion)
and the "naruto" on the middle doesn't work ~ should put it somewhere else.
