Wow, my head has been in a hole. This series is actually pretty cool. The description on Anidb initially didn't catch my interest enough to try the series out...but after this thread, I'm giving it a shot! Good so far!
I got hooked after the first episode! Definitely gonna go download more!
Shakugan no Shana is my first priority for my 2005 anime list, why.. the animation is definitely cool, the storyline awesome!, the artwork great!, the OP and ED is one of my fav!! XD and SHANA is cute! lol XD
Yep, this anime is one of my favorites for 2005 anime. has good animation and nice story line, even has romance in it o_O. Music is also great and addicting. :P

I have just watched number one from eval power, but there was only one... I guess they did drop out... and does anyone know a place to download shakugan no shana 2? (direct download please >.<)
Wow i just saw the shana book in a book store near me >< but i can't read jap.. o well lol
i guess this is good because it started out as novel and because of that the characters are a bit more soffisticated rather than the steriotypical anime characters with different looks while this is characters which have been built up

I love the art and especially character design. Music is ok and plot seems to be quite good (seen 6 episodes, must watch tonight some more). But there is some things that annoys me and could have been done better and with more elegance. For example, I almost laughed my head off when I saw that blue "bear" (Marjorie Doe, or something like that) first time. That was very, very unstylish imo.
And there are some signs (remember, I have seen just 6 episodes) that there will be triangle drama (why I'm not surprised). It's not necessarily a bad thing but seen it 100+ times already. Can't understand why they can't make romance-based drama without that element...

The series is great in my opinion. Excellent art and designs (both characters, background, etc.), a good and original plot, the opening and ending themes are pretty good, and overall its just a good series. Also, the episodes just seem to be getting better and better as the story continues...
I still think that the characters are the best part
I love everything about the series, its reall great, I really enjoyed episode 8 when Shana grew her wings and started to learn how to control the firey wing stuff, very very cool. I have watched 11 so far and I check eclipse ever day it seems, if they have another one subbed yet. Definately one of my favorite anime now. The one thing I dont get though is, a lot Ito Noizi's illustrations of Shana are of her being all cute and happy and stuff, and she hasn't really shown much of this side, I wonder what this means?? will she change or turn a new leaf to be all happy all the time?? ...makes me wonder
Shana is an interesting anime. I fluctuate between being somewhat bored and uninterested with it and getting very excited every time I watch an episode. It's a cute series, and the artwork looks very nice, although I am not a big fan of cuteness to this extent. Somehow despite the fact that when I think about this series I don't particularly see anything to get excited about, I always enjoy it when I watch it. I am still waiting to see how the plot develops to decide how much I like it, but so far it's seems worth watching.

I've started watching it recently, and I've been wanting to get my hands on the First book of the Novel Series. It's so hard to find. -.-0 I had to settle with reading from the second one.
Btw, I want to correct ~EarlyDays. Shakugan no Shana is based on a NOVEL done by Takahashi Yashichirou, not a manga.
The illustrations on the novel rock!

Shakugan no Shana is nice ^^
I really liked the concepts and those character ideas, I mean- first there's Shana, her hair and eyes turn red when in battle, then Margery (pardon the spelling, is it right btw?) who turns into a werewolf, then those cute Aizens (they're aizens ryt?)
p.s. melon bread is haunting me.. I've watched a couple of animes recently and there's always a melon bread in at least 1 episode xD

Fking Aizens. They are hella creepy.
I love this series. Aside from Karin and Shakugan No Shana, I don't watch anything else. Sound is great, animation is amazing, character design is nice. The story is also entertaining. Serious plot for a bit, then a bit of romantic fun. :)
