Kanon 2006
I just can't wait for the next Kanon release, Kanon was the first "crying" anime I have seen and the best for me;tTe only black point was the graphics quality: compared to Air it's just crap, so I thought Kanon with Air graphics quality... It would be a dream… too good to be real... And (you now it) I see that Kyoto Animation and Key is releasing a new version, It can't be I'm dreaming!... After seeing a high quality preview I just can't believe my eye: my dream become real.
I'm so impatient; do you have any information on it? Or anything to share about Kanon experience. Please do.

Nothing much other than what's stated on ANN [ Reference] as well as Wikipedia [ Reference]
Anyway, this is one anime which I am looking forward to once Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu ends. The original Kanon totally broke me and moved me to tears and is the only anime to do so after watching so many animes claimed to be tearjerkers by others. I do appreciate that the original seiyuu casts are brought back (just a cursory glance at the seiyuu list) though. More Ayu can never be a bad thing.
With 24 episodes, I do hold expectations for the story to expand further on elaboration on the arcs especially the Kawasumi Mai arc. The Sawatari Makoto and Mikasa Shiori arcs were fairly straightforward and understandable but Kawasumi Mai was a bit hard to fathom. Her past was not explained nor any detailed explaination were given about the "phantasms".
Since it's just a remake, I don't really expect anything more from the storyline than what's offered in the original version but I do hope for more character development and maybe shedding more light on why some events happen and the character's past involvement (if applicable) with Yuuchi.

Yes nothing much new is said I will have to wait for a few months. I hope the remake will have the same story line because if there is too much change it will probably be confusing. If the result is good I think I will cry much more than with the first one, developing more each character will be a good point. Have you ever played the original game? I had it but because of time I didn't played it
My friend had the PS2 version but it was in Japanese language (text and voice). So we were like randomly making choices without a single clue on what's going on.
As for crying, I guess I can expect that from the Makoto arc. The Shiori arc was really sad at first but not on the second viewing since I already knew the outcome (this arc relies more on the sympathy factor to draw out tears I guess). As for the Ayu arc, I need to see how the remake handles it. I cannot remember if I cried in the second viewing of the Ayu arc.

Makoto arc was the one I cried the most (ep10) it was just too... Kanon 2006 is 24 ep so that mean that we can say that Makoto arc will be 2 or three times longer... I won't have enough tear in my eyes and because Ayu make 3 ep we can expect great emotion, when I understood Ayu end It has been a great shock too me (even though I wasn't surprise about it)
Gosh! Why did I started this topic, because of it I'm just crying just by remembering those episode.

4 arcs, 24 episodes...that would distribute the series to roughly 6 episodes per arc (on the assumption that the OP episode and ED episode are part of the arcs). It's a bit too long though. 4 to 5 episodes would do fine (depending on how long the arc is story-wise). An additional arc would be a bonus but I highly doubt it. I wouldn't mind fillers here.
More UGUU... please. Moe moe ftw!!!
UGUU... > GAO...

About Air isn't it? That means you prefer Kanon right?
A "bonus" arc could be good but on whom? Is there one in the game that isn't mention in the anime?
Here is some UGUU for you :UGUU UGUU UGUU UGUU UGUU UGUU is it enough? :p

I'll be happy so long as Nayuki doesn't get the short end of the stick, again. I swear, there's no love for Childhood Friend characters.
Yes. I was so sad that Nayuki ended like that, Nayuki was my favorite character. Perhaps she will have a bit more in Kanon 2006 but I don't think so. Too bad
Well, Key's got a way to make you cry, i wasnt really a fan of the Kanon anime series. but i'll be checking the remake out at least, and i hope they'll do a better job on the story arcs this time around.
i wasnt really thrilled at the kanon remake mainly because as a Key fan, i was hoping to see more of their newer works gets animated so more people overseas can enjoy the wonderful stories, like a Clannad TV series instead of just the Clannad movie, and a Planetarian movie instead of nothing. i'll settle for Kanon, but they better do a good job this time around.

The first time i watch kanon i tought it was bad but i was wrong,i really like the show like crazy
I just figured out I didn't post any link to the preview. So here it is.
I love Kanon and can't wait for the new series, but I'm wondering why Key wanted to remake it. The original series isn't that old, but maybe they want to bring justice to Kanon? Anyway I hope we can see some cameos from other Key works, especially from Misuzu!!

bye bro!
