bye bro! [Anime Discussion] SHUFFLE! Memories
Shuffle is one of my fav animes so I'd love to see those characters again but in a sequel like series , that just doesn't seem tempting enough for me.And something else...what is so great about Asa I mean she is good but I am with Kaede who was a psycho but I also pitied her so much she made me cry.

I like Shuffle a lot but why it isn't broadcast in Animax....... The ladies are too cute I like them a lot.......

Wow.. I hear it already, but I think it's just a gossip! But.. If it's true, then I had lot of good news this month! Well, it's a remake or the next chapter, or maybe a new story of it? I hope for more, coz I love SHUFFLE! so much!

Just when I got my hopes up for an alternate retelling. You have a fellow sulk-er right here.
Well SHUFFLE! Memories has yet to show some sort of deviation from the original SHUFFLE! series. So far there are 3 episode with no new materials introduced. SHUFFLE! Memories is aired every Sunday (GMT +9:00) by the way. Episode 2 is the story told chronologically from the point of view of Kaede; from the accident to about the point when Sia, Rin-chan and Rim-chan appeared but not before Kaede goes psycho. Episode 3 is about Asa-sempai.
I really thought episode 3 would be a Kaede episode since episode 2 is Kaede part 1. I'm surprised and happy to find out that episode 3 is an Asa-sempai episode. I'm an Asa Shigure fan by the way.
I think it's because of the many ecchi scenes which is still viewed inappropriate by Animax...

Actually I am watching Shuffle---the series1 these days,but I don’t like it very much,it is too fantastic to believe,I can’t imagine that someone is so luckly that he can be loved by so many beautiful girls(I don’t like the design of some female characters,I only love two of all the girls)~it sounds that I am envying the main male character,of course I am since I am also a man~~~

If you've seen Shuffle! before then Shuffle Memories! is just awful! The only really new scenes so far are the intros and some of the ending screens. Even, the dialogs remain relatively unchanged. I'm surprised that they are calling this an new series or putting copyright 2007 in the episodes since most of it is old, already seen material. I had high hopes for this series, but so far it's really letting me down. I hope they start to put in completely new scenes and dialog ala Kanon 2006.
Personaly im rooting for sai shes my fav, but id be cool if he could use that multiple wives thing in the god world to marry them all XD lolz anyway im looking forward to shuffle! memories and i hope its a more of second season than just an OVA type thing
I've been hearing all over that this is a new shuffle! series, but is it going to be another story, or just another re-telling from a different point of view. I, for one, was kinda confused by the "memories" part of the title, which implies that these are things of the past, and not something new.
On the other hand, I wouldn't want them to make a new story, becuase I like how shuffle! ended. Asa-sempai and Rin are together, so that's all that matters in my book. Aww, this discussion makes me want to go watch the series again!

Internet was down for about two days so this post is two days late. Now where was I? Oh yes, SHUFFLE! Memories episode 4 featuring the shy demon princess Nerine. As always nothing new about this episode with a few new scenes included that was not in the original SHUFFLE! series as well as a character specific OP and ED.
I've been reading quite a lot of post about how SHUFFLE! Memories should be. All I can say is, don't let your expectation run too high it'll just hurt you when they're not met (I'm basing this on experience). I think the series is entitled SHUFFLE! Memories for a good reason. Unless the show experiences some sort of amnesia or some sort of memory disorder the story will not deviate from the original plot though I still hope that Memories will take a different path in the future episodes. Also I think it's kind of degrading for a series to have multiple endings.
One thing to notice about Memories is how each character's initial stories were cut from what I think is a common time frame. Kaede is yet to go into the "psycho" mode and Asa and Rin is yet to become lovers.
Also for those who haven't watched the original SHUFFLE! series yet, I suggest you watch the original one first before diving into SHUFFLE! Memories since this show is heavily loaded with spoilers.

Then all hell broke loose, and we were treated to some of the best character-driven psychosis I've seen from an initially light-hearted anime. Great anime, very much worth watching just to understand the last arc when everything comes together.
I always pray that one day, perhaps in the near infinite future, people will learn that at least HALF A GOOD SERIES is based on presenting the characters, giving how they live their normal life, and only then, after HALF THE SERIES or even MORE, we get the real plot. Obviously, it's hard to tell if a given anime will really have this nice aspect, for that, we have reviews out there =p
That's how it goes with several top notch anime titles. You won't get to care for the characters when "hell brakes loose" if they don't add several episodes before just so you get to know the characters and their emotions beforehand.
That's where titles which start already with the main plot stamped on yout face often lack character development and, though good, you don't feel all that sorry when this or that character dies/suffer.
Shuffle is plain amazing, who would expect that last two episodes *cof* blood *cof* thing out of an harem anime ... Harem anime? the guy decides who he likes the best way before the series end, this is hardly a harem anime. Harem anime for me is those where the character is still as clueless (and perv) in the end as he was in the beginning.
Here for some better review on shuffle, and I hope memories do a good job as well, though I'm kind of skeptical:

I watched the first 4 eps and was a bit disappointed as well... I'm giving it some time though because from what I read we have to deal with a few recap episodes and then there is supposed to be new material.
I think, I already wrote that, this serie gonna be just the memory of the characters, while back ago... but I guess no one read that park...T_T
From the info I got, they are going to do all the chara's memory in serie. So, they did Kaede part 1, Asa part 1, Rin part 1, Sia Part 1. They're going to do Primula and etc. After they're done with all the chara part 1 story, they gonna go into part 2 of the story.
