This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Don't you think Kaoru took on the disease even though her son is still alive and breathing? Even though he wandered off...I'm just saying it was probably best of her not to take on Kenshin's disease as a mother.

True, but at the same time I can see why she would do that. And for the record that entire disease thing wasn't originally written by the creator, but added as part of the OVA. I personally think it was out of character for her and may not have been such a good decision. Then again, love makes people do things that may seem stupid to everyone else but not to them. ;)

I think I like Watsuki's ending to the series better than the continuation provided by the OVA.

The OVA ending is kinda sad. I don't like it either... When the OVA was released, I asked my brother for the copy (at that time I'm still using dial-up, so.. I didn't d/l anime) of it. But he said "The ending is a crap. I've delated them." What the heck??

I also dislike Reflections. It botched the whole deal with Enishi, and key players such as Sanosuke and Kenshin himself acted out of character. (Sanosuke takes Kenshin to the port, then dumps him on a ship alone when he's obviously ailing?)

Speaking of it in a funny way: kaoru died of std. sanosuke did not go with kenshin because he does not want to get infected. and all the ending was crap :hehe:

seriously, the ending is sad. i generally liked the whole plot. i just did not understand why kenshin had to wander to china after his son's birth. i even remember that part where sanosuke threw the fish at him with his delayed reaction. it gave an impression of a senile old man. that part made me teary-eyed as i watch the rest of the ova... sniff, sniff...

Kaoru did it because she wanted to share his pain and suffering...plus, he was always away from her...she felt like it was part of her duty. (To share everything with him)

Think of the OVA like an animated fan fic. =D That was what someone told me, when I was wondering the same thing.

well okay lets put it in this perspective... Kenshin is Kauro's husband... so she put herself in that situation because he love him so much... of course, Kauro know this but when you watch the OVA, you can see that Kenshin is hesitant in doing it because he knows what suffering it would bring to Kauro... but because Kauro's love for Kenshin, she is willing to make that sacrifice... well like in the marriage oath "In sickness and health... till death do us part"

Well the series' graphics were ok and i would rate in in a 6 but in the OVA the way the characters were drawn and the graphics drasticly changed...
