Most Tear-jerking Anime
Wolfs Rain was the saddest for me. My brother is still making fun of me for crying during the last episode. But he's just heartless.
There are many ones I cried/almost cried.
Here an unique one:
In Gantz in one of the first episodes when that egoistic show-off guy (can't remember the name) with one point left to go home died. He had a really horrible death, poor guy. I think he wasn't really that bad of a guy as he acted to be. He was my favorite character of this anime.
Although I think the whole anime is just crappy, I was sad when he died.

I guess I've never watched an anime that made me sry before...I have watched some pretty moving animes.
noteables:
Rurouni Kenshin OVA's
Cowboy Bebop (The End)
Last Exile
All of these had a very deep story (yes even CB if you reaaalllly watched it) and a very distinct end (I won't runi it for you if you haven't seen it yet)

Let's see . . . Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen (OVAs) and Cowboy Bebop both had very tragic endings. I wouldn't necessarily say that Cowboy Bebop had a plot as deep as some other animes, but it is unequaled in terms of characterization; it is, after all, the strong attachment to characters that makes Tsuiokuhen and Bebop so sad.
Berserk, too, had an ending that hit pretty hard, although there was a lot of shock value there. There last two episodes really come out of nowhere, and leave you looking to other sources to answer the question: "What the Hell just happened?"
After that, I must say I was rather desensitised to sad endings.

Air was pretty sad, but yea also grave of the fireflies
Spirited Away/Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi. That little lingering shot of Haku's hand still outstretched as Chihiro leaves. Breaks my heart every time.

I just recalled the anime "Haibane Renmei"!
It's definitely one of the animes which made me very very sad.
Anyone else who saw "Haibane Renmei" and feeling the same?

Grave of the Fireflies was pretty tear-jerking.
FMA was what made me sob forever.

I was practically bawling during some of the later episodes of My-HiME just due to the sheer intensity of some of the scenes. The Rurouni Kenshin OVAs also managed to make me tear up... but I don't know anyone who didn't tear up in the first one.

Of all the anime I've ever watched, the series Haibane Renmei has got to be the most powerful tearjerker - but that's not doing it justice, because it's not doing it in a corny or melodramatic way. It's a pretty difficult series to explain quickly, but the emotions in it are very genuine, and the despair and self-hatred suffered by one of the characters had me in tears. It's not a romance or anything either - actually it starts out so lightly and quirkily it's hard to believe it got so intense... I don't think I can watch it again easily due to the power of the emotions in the series, though things do come about to a (fairly) happy resolution in the end.

bye bro!
