Well since the other two topics about NANA; is somewhat locked for some appearant reason.
I'll just start up a new topic about it. Has anyone else been reading the english tranlsation of NANA?
If you have; than post your opinions aboyt it. Characters, story, the art. or w/e the crap you want to discuss.

Anyways, i just recently downloaded all 13 volumes of NANA a few days ago. And in truth; i enjoyed the first volume so much; that i finished all 13 volumes in 2 days. I was so hooked. The characters are well hella likeable, and not to mention most of them are punk rocks who wants to become a pro in music. To sum up the introduction

The whole manga is basicaly in general about how each different character lifes are affected by their parents behavior; somewhat. But im pretty sure a few of nana manga fans would know whats the manga is trying to explain. Anyway, Komatsu Naka happens to sit next to Osaki Nana in the train for Tokyo. Komatsu Nana is going to meet her boyfriend; shouji (You'll get to know him later on in volume 1), while Osaki Nana is going to Tokyo to become a musician; The difference between the two nanas are quite obvious, nana is a cheery spoiled and a noisy girl .While the other nana is a loud, hot, punk type of person. Because they happened to have same names, soon they become friends. Furthermore, when they’re looking for apartments, they meet again. Then, they began to live in the same room.

Komatsu Nana begins her new life in Tokyo being helped by her boyfriend, Shouji. Also with the help of her friend from her high school days; Junko and her boyfriend Kyosuke

Later on; you'll meet some damn odd characters after your finishing reading nana volume 1.
You'll be quite shocked by one or two characters that would join up with nana to become a pro.

To some this shyt up; im a HUGE fan of nana now! Not to mention the Anime Series nana just recently aired with two episodes. Basically; my favoriate character is yasu and shin.
Yasu; meh his freakin bald, young, a LAWYER, likes to wear shades, and like to smokes Black Stone Brand. His competetly badass. He's like a big brother to nana. Even though nana makes some persursaive jokes to make yasu to sleep with her; LOL!
Shinn; well some of you guys might find him freaksly wrong and sick. Because his job is basically selling his body to women; for a whooping of 100,000 YEN! Not to mention his quite young;15 years old actually. I know; all of you guys might be thinking "Oh my.. a 15 year old boy selling his body to women! I bet his character sucks to blah blah and all that crap." But you'll be amazed; how deep his character is. Time to time; his very realistic about love; men and women bonding etc. And at times; acts like a 6 year old kid. Not to mention his a bishi; so girls might scream because how hawt he is.

So yeah; state your opinions about the manga!

Hi! I love Nana totally! Except I only read it through Shojo Beat. It's good so far, but I really don't like Shoji anymore. The art is cool, though I've never seen such a style before. It's quite appealing, in its own unique way. Yeah, I've got to say, I like basically everything about it. It's new, and its the perfect new idea for teens these days. (Me included!)

But the hate for him wont last for long actually.
after you read further more on the manga; you would just forgive him and basically say
"No worries shoji; ITS THE WORK OF THE DEMON KING" haha.

I am also a huge fan of NANA. Thanks to this manga I started to read other mangas and returned into the world of anime. Actually, I can say that it changed my life [really].
I read "only" 12 volumes, but I'll continue with the next volumes. I also hate Shouji. I know that the thing with Sachiko was not only because the two of them, since Hachi made also big mistakes, but it is easier to blame Shouji.
My favourite character is Hachi, but I like Nana, Reira, Nobu, everyone [except Shouji and Takumi <-- but why the hell is he so beautiful?*_*]

I also got hooked the first time I read them! Usually I hate this kind of manga... but somehow, I fell in love with NANA. The reason I love NANA is simply because of the beautiful arts... unexpected storyline, wonderful characters etc.. And most favorite character is Nobu! Actually, I really love Nobu/Hachi..

But! Too bad they broke up! And now Nobu's with Yuri.. I DON'T like her! The first time she comes out I was like "What the heck?? Hachi clone??". I mean, she acted so much like Hachi...

I started reading Nana with the issues of Shojo Beat that came out, and I really love it! It's so realistic, and the character personalities and designs are great.

I'm a big supporter of the couple Hachi/Nobuo...
but if she doesn't want him... I'm going to pick him for myself!!

I've only been reading Nana through Shojo Beat (mostly because I have a subscription, so I feel like I'd be wasting money if I went and downloaded it now... but I so want to) and right now Shoji is annoying the crap out of me. Nana moved to a new city for him, and he goes and cheats on her!! I totally love Ren though... I tried to draw some Ren fanart and my friends told me he came out looking like my boyfriend! Wishful thinking maybe? Nana O. is definitely my favorite though. I love how she acts so tough all the time, but when it comes to Ren she totally melts. I think it shows how much she really loves him.

I'm reading them as they come out officially too, so I'm not too far. I'm deciding to be paitient xD So far I enjoy it quite a bit. Nana O. is my favorite, she's so cute with Ren. But Nana and Shouji, eeh I don't like them as much xD;; Still a good read though.
