This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I don't think its weird but I'm only 22. I'll have to answer again in a few years. You're not alone though. My parents always give me weird looks when they come to my apartment and see all my figures and scrolls.

I think it's the same like collecting stamps or basketball pictures... Altough anime is more interesting. I have the luck that my mother supports me in things like this, she even bought a year subscription to NewType for my birthday XD

There's nothing wrong with it... if your gay... ok j/k really it is an odd thing can make you feel uncomfortable buying them since it isn't somthing you want to brag to everyone you mean about, but if it's what your interested in don't worry, just be confident in yourself.

...living in your parents house maybe...as long as you find these stories very good...emotional type animes, not just the crazy fanservice or something...say like...Princess Tutu...that would be considered by many a girly and childish anime...but i freakin love it...it has a wonderful story...not that i'll buy some figures or scrolls...although a poster did come in newtype...but i'm sure to buy the complete series...the point is...just buy this stuff if you really like the anime...in my opinion which shall be skimmed over.

It depends on how you see it, if you think it is weird, then it's weird, if you think it's normal, or just a hobby, then it's a hobby. I have four animefigure(Matsumoto from Bleach, Miharu from Girls Bravo, Kanu from Ikkitousen and Hitomi from Escaflowne) and some gashapons, and I don't think it's weird (but a little embarrassing when your girly friends see them, but they accept them). But sometimes I wonder if this is the right thing to spend money on? Wouldn't it be better to spend money on books? But anyway, it's up to you, yourself are deciding if it's wrong or right.

P.S My parents "stole" my Hitomi figure and now it standing in the livingroom instead in my room.XD

I don't think this is strange

You have the right to do anything, but don't go deeply into that..
buying one to two figures is acceptable.

But if you use most of your time watching news of figure surfing interent for figure and even go window shopping for those figure, then i cann't accept that..

Juz treat that as a toy of adult..
no part of your life~~

I'm 42 and sometimes buy cute little figurines. The larger picture is that I still watch (and am obsessed about) what are essentially cartoons (anime), and I guess that makes me "weird".

As long as you get out of your parents' basement, keep an active social life outside, a little hobby like that is harmless.

Not me, but my brother. When my parents went to my brother's they were like "So many......" or "How much that you spend on this??" but he never answer. Only me knows. btw.. my brother is already 29. (9+_+) emoticon

If your really obsessed like trying to find a small detail in the internet or trying to bought those kind of figures which wasting half of your money allowance...then i have to say it's weird...i'm 21 and i buy girls figure in those machine which insert 200 yen or 400 yen if i'm not mistaken when i don't want to buy anything else...but for figure which are very expensive and make you to save money to buy it, then i have to say your weird...i'm not against you trying to buy girl figures...i'm just hoping your not too obsessed with it...well, all in all...do not be ashamed of your own hobby...there are many people out there who have more hobby that are more weird and disgusting...our hobby are definitely not that kind category, ok?

I think it´s a hobby like any other. I´m 24 years old and I´m buying figurines and all things about manga and anime and, of course, some more things about videogames and I´m happy with my merchandising and I don´t think it´s weird.
About you, well I´m only 3 years younger but I think you can continue doing this and don´t be sorry about this hobby of yours, in this world there are a lot of other people who have different hobbies a lot different from yours and totally normal (I think).
But well, I think someone say it on this forum, you have to not make this somekind of obsession or thing like that because then, it could be a problem and you possibly be treated for something you are not (well my english is very poor, I´m from spain and I doubt my sentences are clear ^^U).
So cheer up and continue buying these figurines, I think in my future, I´m gonna continue doing the same XDD

I don't think it's weird, but people who don't like animes may think that. :=[ emoticon
