Is it weird for a 27 year man buying anime figures especially girly ones
I see no problem with collecting figures and anime related things. i recently just bought my first house, and some house warming gifts from friends were anime related, wallscrolls, dvds, figures... you should do what you like, it is no different from the person who collects rocks, spoons, sports related items... but as said above, you are asking in a biased forum lol, i'm pretty sure everyone here would say it is ok.
I see no bigger problem with it

Nothing wrong with it. It's just a hobby. Now if you take some of those toys to bed with you, I'd say you have a problem.

In regards to your concerns about being weird for purchasing "girly" figurines at the age of 27, I say follow the advice of one Bobby McFerrin and "Don't Worry, Be Happy!"
At least you are not quoting lyrics from a late 1980s one-hit wonder--if that were the case, then I would be worried about feeling weird.

Depends. Yeah maybe, but as a gift to someone else i dont think so...
Although who am I to judge? No i think its absolutely fine, coz even though im not male, i wouldnt be surprised if i were doing the same at that age ^^'

Nah, it isn't weird! When people think watching anime after the age of 15 is weird than obviously they'd consider your likes weird too! But as Spentzar said it earlier, you do fit in here perfectly! So even if people thin you are weird you know there are many others like you in the world!
The answer is "NO" if you ask people who really likes anime (most of us here, i believe).
maybe "YES" for people who knows a little or don't know about anime and less weird for people that not really deep into anime(like me). i mean they/we never feel like what you feel.
but i believe some of em(including me) respect your hobby.

The concept of "weird" depends on the point of view of each one, I know a 45 year-old person that collects figures, DVD´s is married and have kid´s this person and have very active social life.
Heck, no. I may be only 22 right now, but I can see myself still collecting figures at 27. Not that I currently have that many, but if there's one I really want, I won't hesitate to order it.
Don't worry about that!
I'm collecting battle knights and people that visits my home look at them with surprise in their faces because they don't know the fantasy literature I read, but I don't mind, my boy collects DVD's, his boss collects telephone cards and sugar envelopes... heaven, sugar envelopes from every bar he visites! At least my figures are nice thing to see. :P

Wooohhh.. straight from the title of this topic, it is really WEIRD, really, really
anyway-- come to think of it, when it sinks deep in sense, who cares, everyone got their own groove right, so whatever, atleast, he has the gut to be true. although, sometimes, some things are better left unknown

I know of a 33 year old man who still keeps a collection of anime figurines, so no it's not weird. No one is ever strange or 'weird' or 'freaky', we all just each have our own quirks~

Seth Green, creator of Family guy has a HUGE collection of action figures both anime and North American I hear.
Lol nah like what the most of us have been saying, no it's not wierd. It might be to those who don't understand anime, but for everyone else, it's just a hobby and a collectors thing, the same as some one would collect coins or stamps ^^

Hobby like any other for me. As long as you don't sell other things to buy figures, or watch them 22 hours a day (2 for sleep) and don't do out it's normal. And yes, my dad thinks that anime is only for 10 years children.
