Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

No, I can't live without my cell phone. I always meet up with friends for lunch on campus and it sucks if I don't have a cell phone to call them and see where they are. And if I'm late, I want to let them know, too. Sure, back in high school, I didn't need one because there's a fixed schedule in high school, so I always meet friends during lunch at the same spot. But in college, I definitely needed a cell phone because the schedules are so relaxed and flexible. Not to mention, my cell phone is like my watch. I wouldn't want to lose track of time and be late for class.

Let's see.. The use of cell phone in my country-as far as I can see-is pretty intense for most people. Some people can't even move on with their lives without it (at least that's what they say). For me, the answer is yes. Yes, I can live without my cell phone. The fact is, I'm a type of forgetful and moody person, so I could reply my friends message 2 or 3 days after they sent it because I forget to recharge the phone battery or because I lost it somewhere in the corner of the house so it delays me from reading the message. My friends know my habit, so they would usually save their times by contacting directly to the phone in my house.

Now, this is where the contradiction happens.

For the last few months, maybe around 3 months, I'm an active user of cell phone. It's in my pocket every single day. I receive and send instant messages to my friends. And I also receive and make some calls. The problem is: even though I can live without it, but I do need it. I need it to keep in touch with my friends. I need it so my friends could remind me that we only have a little time to finish our task. I need it to ask my lecturer about the lesson. And I also need it to tell my parent that I'm going to be late today. I use it intensely, but I don't think it makes me can't live without it, can I? Just like others said, the problem comes when you really have an emergency situation to handle. For example: you need to wait for a news about your father or grandma in the hospital because for some reason, you can't be there or haven't arrived yet at that time, while your family can only contact you through the number of that cell phone. If that kind of situation happen to me, I'll certainly say that I can't live without my cell phone.

Warm Regards,
Yuki

Edit : People always say that human is the smartest creature that God ever created. If I don't have cell phone, I still can use the computer, or normal phone, or even letter. In the end, I believe that the problem is laying on the relation of each personal. Sending messages or calling is just a medium. Heart is more important. I can't text or call two of my friends in Taiwan, but I do believe that they won't forget me and I will always remember about them too. Even though we don't meet or talk as much as we want it to, but I have faith that our friendship would be just fine when they get back home. I think this is a good example that I can live without my cell phone (with my friends).

I can live without it, but it really comes in handy.

Although, most of the usefulness comes from having an internet plan.

My phone is practically my laptop. It can do nearly anything I need to be done on a laptop (word processing, web search, watch videos, etc).

But I can live without it because its just a convenience.

I have tried to live without my cellphone.
I forgot my cellphone at my parents' place, which I realized when I was back in my apartment. -.- I thought "Okay, I'll survive. I guess."
I needed it, SO BAD. I use it as an alarm clock, people sent me smses, I use it as a normal clock and I seriously had to make a few -IMPORTANT- phonecalls.
I got it now though and I swear to God that I will never forget my phone again <3 emoticon3 (Sony Ericsson W200i forever! *advertises*)

I can definetly live without my mobile since I only use it when it is a emergency or if a decided time or meeting with someone has been changed. Can´t see why some people tend to get so hooked up on their mobilephones.

I went without a cell phone for a good portion of my life, it wasn't until like a year ago that I've felt the need to get one. After that though, I always want my cell phone to be near me. I guess because it's a connection to all your friends, family, and work, much like how the internet is. I, for one, cannot live without either. When I'm missing one of the two things, I feel a little uneasy.
