samurai or modern soldier?

Wow... allot of people really dont know anything about modern military. Not trying to flame or offend anyone so dont take this the wrong way, but try some research before you start bashing the military. Both samurai era, and modern time soldiers have their amount of skill needed, and hard work needed. Samurais dont train more then your modern soldier, i mean during a time of war, you think samurais had decades worth of time to train? If they werent just wondering mercenaries looking for money, they would of went through a king of "basic" training, then send them to war. Depending on how urgent the situation would of been, the training could of been much less then 8 weeks.

Hmm... I would say samurai because I think it seems more challenging (I like a challenge) to wield a sword/katana to fight instead of just throwing grenades and shooting people and such... xD Plus samurai seems cooler... mwuahaha.

Hmm i would say samurai eventhough modern soldier are more efficient in killing people cos all they have to do is just a rifle or something and BAM!
samurai looks cool and it sorta uncommon now
and plus you get to hold a sword

Although Soldiers today would Own samurai... I prefer the fighting style of the samurai. At least you can respect and honor the people you kill.

I perfer morden soldier to samurai....
the weapon looks so cool,and usually has mass destructive power

I think Samurai are better than soldiers because their wepons and armor is way better. They can protect themselves a lot better then an ordinary soldier could so yeah. =]

Samurai all the way. Their armor and wepons are way better then a soldiers. They're fighting style is a lot better too. =]
