I want to know what programms is used to make wallpapers ??

This is more a question for Session Zero, I think. But, PhotoShop, PaintShop and Fireworks are the sort of thing you want to be working with for wallpapers.

The GIMP is a very good free image editor.

If you want to spend money then you could buy Adobe Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, there are others as well.

I would say that the best way to go about it would be to obtain Adobe Photoshop CS2 and to watch a lot of the "Total Training" videos for Adove Photoshop CS2 to learn how to use it. All though those two together will set you back well over a grand!! >_< I'm not sure I've met anyone out there whom uses it that has thrown that kind of money out at it (if ya know what I mean).

After you have the program and have watched a number of the learning videos from the "Total Training" series you are going to need to obtain the recources to make the wallpapers, starting with obtaining high rez photos such as the Scans you can download from this website and also downloading a number of helpfull paint brushes and plug-ins to help make a great looking backround which can be found at site like:

It would be a good Idea to find a good forum community and maybe read threw a few TUTs (Tutorials) here and there too:

and the best way to learn is just messing around with it. It takes a lot of time and practice, Fun Hobbie though

I personally recommend Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0 (it comes wit Adobe Imageready, which is very useful) and Paint shop Pro. Those are probably the best you can find so far.

I recommend PhotoShop CS. You can find it on Amazon for a decent price and it's not a far cry from the CS2. I also recommend getting a tablet, it makes life so much easier. I use a Wacom Graphire 4 tablet for my walls.

However, all of these programs cost a decent amount of money so only get them if you're going to use them a lot. I use PhotoShop more than any other program on my computer so it was worth buying. If you're not going to use it that much then I suggest downloading GIMP instead of spending all that money.

I use Photoshop. Both CS2 and an old Photoshop ver.7 (wich I us the most and love). For the rest, its like learning anything basically. Read up on it and practice. Read some online tutorials and get to it, crop pictures, try effects, download brushes, thats how I got started...not saying I'm good, but man, you should see the first walls I made...we all got to start somewhere.

All the necessary stuff has been covered. Plus, the gist of the question is what software is used to make wallpapers and not how to make wallpapers.
