I posted this a few days ago and apparently only one person answered (thanks highknees) but I want more people to tell me what they think...just rip it apart if you want...I can take it :P

Yeah I was really happy my Bleach wallpaper was a success and that everyone like it. Even though vectoring is very tedious, its become addictive and I've been vectoring everything ever since.
Anyway I just finished my FLCL wallpaper. I know this series is an oldie, but I couldn't resist...I had to make a wall dedicated to the amazing series.
Well here it is: http://www.freewebs.com/2kool4u2/FLCL.jpg
please give me your comments and critique...if needed
thanx~

It was screwed in the other thread too, which is why I couldn't comment. Try using imageshack or photobucket.
Okay it should work now...just copy the link and open it into a new window
First of all, from now on, use photobucket.com. it's never given me a problem, and it's free.
as for the wall...
the photo idea is cool, but the effect you have on minami, is REALLY annoying. you'd be better off with just the lineart.
clean up some of the images in the photos. i would really suggest only using scans and no screenshots because screenshots are low quality and look it too. scans will give you crisp clean colors and lines all the way through. if theres an image in a screenshot you really like, then i'd suggest vectoring it.
the text...instead of having it vertical, i'd suggest putting it horizontal at the bottom. you'd have to decrease the point size of the font though. make it fit in that open space. in this wall, i think the text should be more subtle than that.
also, the black bars that are on the sides of minami...i'm curious to see how it would look with minami full, and the background yellow, with added shadows to under the pictures.
hope thats somewhat helpful.

I think this is pretty good, but try some things that Kalico said.
The colors in the photographs seem to distract from Minami in the center. Perhaps you could try alternating the tinting each from orange to green to match the center coloration more?

I quite like it, but I think it needs some tweaks. I think kalico pretty much covered them all, really.
The first is that effect on manimi needs rethinking. I think it just kinda doesn't work. Also, the pictures in the photos need to be quite high quality and clear, I think. Some are a bit screen-cap style fuzzy.
I think I'd keep the FLCL text as is myself, though. Kinda goes with the strong vertucal element of the wall.
It's a nice design overall :D.
