SO i know there are some who are loners in their house hold when it comes to anime (lets call them cultural pioneers, i hear it is the more politically correct term) and some who have siblings or even parents who watch it with them. I got into anime cause of my step dad and his brothers and so did my aunt. my dad sticks with the old school but also watches MAR, Bo- BO- BO BO BO- BO -BO, Metabots, and i ask him every day how old are you? i say watch bleach! he's all like No!SO do you have any one else in your house who watches anime too? did you get them into it or did they get you into it!? do you share the same intrest? or are you a "Cultural Pioneer" in your house hold? are you working to convert other int o anime fans? ..for my mom there is no hope T_T she hate all form of cartoon.

Everyone in my family hate anime, besides me^^. I have pictures in my room, pc, mobile, and whenever my mom appears in my room and sees my wallpaper, she just says "oh this crap" and I go crazy because I so much love my anime wallpapers. My dad was never interested in anime and even if he saw me having a wallpaper, he wouldn't care and I appreciate it much more because he doesn't hurt my feelings in comparison to my mom. My bro always has a comment and I hate it, just like my mom, why can't they just accept that not everybody can like the same things?? Anyways, I don't care what they think because I love my anime and will continue to love them!
Me my brother and my sister always watch anime, except our parents, when we are in school, sometimes my dad downloads some episodes for us when he is in work and when he is not busy. . . I don't think someone in my family hates anime. . .
Very few around watch anime as much as I do...My classmates usually watch movies.
Though we don't share this same interest, we also never comment anything inappropiate on others' interests so it doesn't matter too much. Anyway we're already old enough to avoid meaningless disputes.
As for my family...They sometimes say that anime is childish but also never try to interfere with my choices. Though it's impossible to discuss my favourites with them, it doesn't matter either.

Well they don't like anime..that's for sure but since i am the one who buy my anime's then they can't do anything about it...^^
My brother watches anime with me occasionally, but he's not very interested in it, so he doesnt watch it if I'm not around. My parents are neutral, though my mum gets a bit tired of my fangirl squealing. :P

My family seems to be okay with Anime. My parents never bug me about liking Anime. Their belief is that everyone has to have a hobby, whether it seems weird or not. My brother isn't really into Anime yet, I guess. But I will convert him soon enough... Mwaahaha!! ^_^;;
Non of my friends or relatives watch anime. My parents thought it was very childish, but not anymore ^_^
My cheap azn parents of course thinks its a waste of money.
^-^ My older sister isn't too interested. And my younger siblings are interested because i got em into it.
o-o 1/2 of my friends are interested.
Probably only a couple of my own cousins are interested. Other than the disappointing fact from my parents, they do think its good. Sides the fact manga costs $10 and dvds of anime at stores cost about $20. I'm probably the most interested in my family for the artwork.
Except for the fact i can't really keep up with remembering all the titles i read or watch.

My parents totally thinks it is a waste of time,my big bro and I are the only one watching anime in my family. We love anime so much and because we have our own credit card and are doing side works, its not a problem for us to buy anime merchandises on our own, even though parents think its a waste.
Mother doesn't care, father is kind of interested, and sister thinks it's nerdy

I've got basically the perfect anime fandom situation - my wife and I both love anime! I got her into it when we were dating and now she's hooked like me. You should see our apartment, wall scrolls and figures everywhere! Woohoo! Man, I love my girl!

Anime? What's that?
That's what my parents would tell you, my dad may think they're childish because they're drawings (worst argument I've heard) but they both consider that if I like it, there must be something good about it. But I don't think there's a chance they'll ever watch some, plus, my parents are old lol.

My family and friends really wasn't into watching anime with me until I kind of figured out their interest. My girlfriend that it all was lame until we sat down for an hour and a half of Naruto and now she's hooked on that. My bestfriend's turn ons where Full Metal Alchemist and the anime that actually everyone in my house including my mom and dad sat down and watched every flippin episode was Death Note. I think if you want to introduce anime someone you have to find a common ground with the certain person. Death Note is a smart anime that won't go over too many peoples head because it's not as abstract as say Neon Genesis and it has a gripping story line. Hopes this helps the loners.

Quite a bit of my family watch anime (though not to the extreme as me, my hubby, and a few of my friends). My brother has watched several, my mom watched some with me (like the Studio Ghibli ones), and my dad thinks they're for kids.

bye bro!
