Fuu Wallpaper

A new wallpaper I made, it features Fuu from Samurai Champloo. I tried to keep it simple to make it stand out I used contrasting colours.

Hmm well its looks pretty good so far. A couple things I noticed though, one is the text in the middle ??the samurai who smells like? the font doesn??t match or compliment the rest of the text and it??s a bit hard to read so I would change that. Secondly, the lines running through the wall don??t seem to fit right now with the rest of what you have going on. Lastly I would definitely add something to the BG it is lacking right now. Maybe you could try some stylized objects like a sun or maybe some Japanese patterns? Anyway keep up the good work! ^^
To build up on WhiteBlaze's idea of the patterns for the background, try maybe using a kimono pattern, as the anime involves samurais, and samurais wear kimonos :P. Change the pixel font, to the font you used for the other text. I also believe that the red ellipses just don't quite fit. Keep trying, it is a decent wallpaper.

The edges of her are kinda er...funny...maybe you can clean them up...
and i also agree...with keeping to the same font for the words...
and if you have no idea for covering alot of the bg...you could try adding more of those big red spots^^' iuno...at least one on the top right...cuz that's the most empty spot^^'~? but iuno how that would look...cuz the red and her are sorta the same^^'iuno

Um, actually I think the original is better than the second two. I'd consider something...less bright. I'd add Japanese textures to the background like WhiteBlaze suggested, as well as changing the font. Instead of having the font color fade and disappear, I'd just keep it one solid color with an outline. Also, try picking a font that matches what you do for the background. The pixel and the cursive-like fonts don't work so well.
