So how many people on AP are single or taken? How do you define if you ARE single or taken?

Personally I myself am single, mostly by choice because lets face it, you can have all the friends you want, get all the benifits of being taken, without actually being taken! Nobody to answer to or all that jazz. Not that I'm bashing relationships, its just that a lot of time they are over rated for what people want to get out of them. As for if you are single or taken, I'm taken whenever I am in an exclusive relationship and neither of us are dating anyone else. If either of us are dating other people or the option exists to date other people, then techincally I'm still single.

Thoughts? Feelings?

Completely single, and I don't really mind it. As a matter of fact, I think it's rather nice tat I'm single. It's a lot less stuff to muck around with. But there is a girl that I like, well... maybe two... But I'm far from trying to start a relationship. It's just too much trouble.

Single and loving it. XD I hate being shackled to anybody; I think having a boyfriend would be a pain. My schedule's too tight as it is. Besides, while I'm single I can do whatever I want, whenever I want! XD

Don't get me wrong I have nice friends who I can speak about nearly everything. But I'm still missing the near of a person.

For me, I am already taken. Even though we are away for 11 months now. Well, yes it is possible. I haven't thought of looking for another person. I had never thought of having another lover than him. I do have a choice to let the relationship go because of the long distance, but I am happy to be like this. Literally, I am single because I don't have someone to be with (because he is on London and I am here T-T). But in my heart I am totally taken. Many people thinks that being taken gives a lot of trouble and pain. Well, that is part of a relationship (I think). We might be engaged already... LOL (that is how my friends see our relationship). I know I am still young, yet I am serious with this relationship. Oh well...

Being single has a good side, as what my teacher told us. She had chosen to stay single because she wants to explore the world and travel. Visit the places where she can feel how the authors of her favorite books describe the place. Being single won't have worries with his/her own family, husband/wife and children. I do think that, if a person chooses to be single, then they would be happy. But if a person who didn't want to stay single and yet they are, would be unhappy, sad and lonely.

Saturday was my 3-year anniversary, so I'm taken (always available for Revy from Black Lagoon, though). Three years isn't much, but its a milestone considering the following:
1) My wife and I met on the internet and were married after 3 months
2) I'm a Jew and she's Muslim
3) I'm 40 and she's 21.
We defied the stereotypical odds and falsehoods regarding internet relationships.

If you'll be asking me, I'm single, but am not interested in looking for a mate. Let's just say I'm preoccupied with my work. But I did have crushes back in elementary. But I quit looking for a special someone and focus my energies instead on my studies. Maybe, there is always a right time for me to look for a love.

After the crappy relationship I got out of, i dont think I really want to be bothered with a relationship at the moment. They are too much trouble, and as far as I am concerned, the enjoyment of leaving yourself open and vulnerable to someone else, only to have them crush, and walk all over your feelings, isnt worth it.

Plus, I got college to worry about, among other things
