This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

...yeah...i read in the general discussion section...how they were talking about how it's cool to integrate school with anime...

hehe...and i was thinking...everyone likes naruto so how do you think it in terms of schoollike stuff?

anyways...here's what i've come up with

if you've watched the anime...you see that NEji's ultimate ability (so far) is the ability to attack someone's chakara points...

it's like "gentle fist of 64 points blah blah blah" he later get a "128" point stuff...

anyways...i was doing some programming and i was thinking...it's like a binary attack...here why he does it...

suppose neji's attack limit was 64 hits...it would probably take his concentration limit...and it would require a lot of presission...so ere's his solution

NEJI'S BINARY SUMMATION ATTACK...

so he starts off small and works his way up to his limit...here's the math

2^6 is 64 (his limit)

and he want to end up doing more damage...so he builds up a summation of powers of 2...(as shown in the anime);

(1) 2^1 + (1) 2^2 + (1) 2^3 + (1) 2^4 + (1) 2^5 + (1) 2^6 (shown as "1111110" in binary code)...he doesn't do 2^0 'cause i tihnk it wouldl ook kinda stupid...and he has 2 hands

...yeah...it kinda looks coreny and you're probably thinking "ooo...he can count by power of 2" ....but when you add up all the hits he actually does...

(1) 2^1 + (1) 2^2 + (1) 2^3 + (1) 2^4 + (1) 2^5 + (1) 2^6 = 127

see? it's basically 64*2-1...which is one hit less than DOUBLE his limit...

pretty cool, huh...he really is a genius

or you can call me an idiot =]

Hey...
I'm a college student...
doing an IB Diploma programme...

It's a coincidence that i like both NARUTO and math...
heheh... ^_^

u know what?
i recalculated that series...
using TI-83 Plus graphic calculator...

2^1 + 2^2 + 2^3 + 2^4 + 2^5 + 2^6 = 126

i was like..."oookaaaaayyyyy... how does that happen..."
u calculated 127
neji's attack is 128...
i got 126...

i recalculated using this method...

2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + 64 = 126

that's weird...

Its because you dont include the 2^0 in your guy's equation. that would make it 127 because the sum of all the powers before that are equal to one less than the next one.

Yeah...it has 2^0 not included...sorry 'bout that...the binary format is [1111110] or something like that...the last number is zero to to say 0*2^0...sorry 'bout that

...he probably does that 'cause he has 2 hands...so it would be useless to start w/ one...

yeah...i fixed it on the other forum...but i figured that you guys wouldn't catch it here...nice one =]

You could deduce that just by knowing that the number you had to come up with had to be a pair cause he never uses one hand ^^

I forget cuz i havent watched the anime at that point for awhile nor read the manga at that point either, but maybe he does the 2^1 twice which would give him 128?

Um, if he does it in powers of 2, then it's just as legit to do a 1 point hit. Nuluvian got it right the first time since 2^7 = 128, which in binary would be written as 10000000. What's so confusing about this?

So... what's the point in all of this?

To make this even more interesting, let's convert it to hex. Let's see... 1000 0000 would be 80.

And by the end of the series he will be able to do EE hits!!

(for those that don't know hex thats 15 15 or 1111 1111 which is 1+2+4+8+32+64+128=255 (obviously one less than 256))

oh and this means that Neji is limited to 1 byte of power!

Well, I'mma give this thread a few more days to live before spam starts to pile up.

So when you say 1 byte of power, that's the unit we're using to describe his power? I thought it was number of chakra points. Anyway, O(2^N) is pretty crazy. Next up, converting his power into ASCII. There might be a hidden message! Or not.

But there is no ascii version of an 8 bit number since ascii is only 7 bits.

also when i say one byte of power perrhaps i should rephrase that. lets figure out how much power a 1.2 ghz processor uses to do 1 byte of instructions and that will be the power that negi holds (which naturally would be very tiny).

It was just an observation

that's all =) you guys didn't like my theories about the MS (super sharingan) so i decided to put something more interesting up hehehehe...

anywyas...yeah...hex is cool, but he doesn't go by powers of 16...so it doesn't really make any sense to talk about it...he would need 16 appendages to do that...
