Lots and lots of time spent... And no I don't really have that much time on my hands.
Omg that takes some serious skills. Sigh I wish i could do something like that.... I tried doing it once in class, was sitting right in front and missed the proff's head by half a foot.

I don't know about those other guys, but me I only do it when I have spare time. I'm out of school so I do it whenever I have time to breathe.
And contrary to popular belief, most spinners do not really advance greatly during class time. They just do simple tricks during class because it's less likely to fall and make noise. The spinning you're seeing is probably because they weren't studying or doing their homework XD

To the untrained eye, yes it's random spinning lol. And yeah, the naming can be a bit tricky sometimes...Since there's no more naming committee. Bleh.

Wooow, you do have TONS of time on your hands =P. I actually have a friend who does that. But he's not nearly as good as the people in your video. He taught me one trick =D. Anyways, I've always wondered this. How do you learn to do those tricks? Do you go on a site? Also, do you need special writing utensiles for better control and such? Because I understand that you can't just use any old pen. Usually when I'm doin the trick I was taught by my friend I use this one pen that I have because its not too light and not too heavy. It is also the perfect width.
