For me there are different degrees of being lonely.
in an advantage...being lonely can make you think of things and imagine many things but theres always a disadvantage..i mean its really good to share what you think and be with others.its fun being with others and have many friends that you know YOU CAN COUNT ON.but if you cant count on them well youll be end up being lonely..its a different word from alone and being solo.alone is one thing that you are while being lonely is one thing that you feels...
Likewise, I am always lonely, the way I see it, being lonely actually makes good space for everything else, I like to be messy, so I don't want people to come in and judge and say something about the way I eat, the way I sleep the way I make things be.
Being alone, gives me benefits, I feel freedom and alone helps me think.
Oh well.

There are two kinds of being alone: solitude and loneliness, Solitude is being alone by choice, and loneliness is just plain being alone by situation. Some days I prefer solitude when I'm with a friend and I get tired of hanging around that person too long. :p Then Loneliness just plain sucks, sometimes I want to go out and do something but there's no one available. After awhile loneliness just sucks but there should be a right balance of solitude and company. That's what I try to maintain but since I'm a "reject" nothing really works out how I plan. :p

Definitely have to agree with Reject up there i like my solitude but noone likes to be truely alone... it sucks..

I liked it when I was a teen, evenm in my 20s but after I had my first child, believe me I don't like to be alone or like to be lonely, I like so much their company, like my husband company, and try to share as much as I can, every second, every minute.
Hmmmm? Well, I'm always being solo everyday. Going to do alone have lots of free time. I usually do this and that everyday. Chatting to my neighborhood, friends from internet or my family especially my beloved mother who loves to chat. I always studied alone, eating alone, sleeping at bed alone, and playing video games alone. But being a loner could be sometimes really happy.

Of course no one wants to be lonely, people are social creatures. People need people. After you spend so much time being alone you go crazy.

Mmm....I can see your points. I'm my humble opinion, I like to be alone most of the time but I don't like being lonely. I like to know that I have people to love and who love me. That is why a like to be alone, because I feel like it's easier for me to cherish those things.

Well, most of the time I'm alone and I don't really mind half of the time. Although hanging with friends and living outside of the computer is good once and a while.

Geez I think half the people are all lonely, like me it's pretty obvious that I am a loner.
But I still go out and hang out with friends not as much as I want but I do go out and stuff. I think as years go by people are going to get lonelier and lonelier because of the internet and all that virtual stuff.
