I almost gave up after the first episode, but the second pulled me back. Yeah, it moved kind of slow for me, but for some reason I stayed interested. I think in the end I like it and hate it at the same time.
On the one hand, I'd like to smack all the characters for what they do or don't do, but also, it reminds me of situations in reality.
I really wish there had been more of Akane in the series though. Akane's 'death-stare' is great.

I liked it personally, it's the only h-game anime i've ever seen that actually made a good anime. Popotan, Raimuiro, Da Capo, were all amusing (well the second half of DC wasn't imo) but were typical harem comedy shows and fell short. You could watch KgNE and never know it was an h-game first, a testament to just how good it was.

I found it a bit overly dramatic. I thought it was good for a one watch, but not the best thing I've seen. I usually don't mind over dramatic if it's done well (my favorite series of all time is Shoujo Kakumei Utena if that says anything), but this show was too soap opera. I mean, I've recommended it myself to a few friends, the animation is gorgeous and it's realistic and unlike most things I've seen--especially lately, but it can be a little over the top. But, something I feel doesn't get mentioned much is the powerful emphasis on the passive/pacifist male and how damaging being passive and a pacifist can be. Avoiding confrontation and conflicts can cause just as many problems as people who are too confrontational and even enjoy conflict. A lot of men I've known personally fit the mold the main male character is portraying. They constantly blame things on 'female misunderstandings' while leading women on by not dissauding misunderstandings when they first appear. It's a pretty deep psychological piece (which is something we don't see very much anymore), so I do like that, but a lot of it I could have done without--not to mention I felt some scenes were unnecessary and didn't do much for characterization/plot movement at all.

I like this Anime. Certainly don't think it deserves to be #1 or #2 on a top 100 list but I like it over all. You have to watch at least to episode 3 or 4 before making a judgement call on it. The only thing that kinda bugged me is that I was really never rooting for the person Takayuki picked in the end, but from what I've heard I think I might be alone on that one.
