This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Now we're into the fifth episode what do you guys think so far? At first I hated the art, aya looked really bad in terms of proportions, but now It's got underway I'm starting to like it. What annoys me is the build up to the next episodes, they could start the fights with 5 minutes near the end but instead do DBZ style smack talk.

I'm not quite sure why there is so much talk where fighting and action scenes should be. And also, the fighting sequences are quite short. When I first heard there was going to be a TT anime (after reading the manga), I thought it was going to be Naruto-styled crazy long battles. But the way the story is presented in the anime is solid so far. Timing of scenes is a little bit offbeat though.

I didn't expect the art to be so "manga-ish" (lack of proper terms) at first. After the initial "wow. nice", it now looks great.

From what I've noticed a lot of recent action anime series are starting to drag on the fight scenes. I think becoming a common thing. I didn't even think it was going to be one of those series with a lot of smack talk then get with the actual fighting, because of the 2nd episode. Now in the 5th I'm getting a little sketchy about it, but the action is getting better. :bounce:

Think it's pretty good so far, especially since i got over my biggest hangup, aya's voice actor. Ugh first time i heard her she sounded like she'd been sucking down helium lol.

I gotta disagree about the smack talk though. It may seem like it's being strung out but really it's following the manga tit for tat heh. Guess since there's less buildup in manga it could annoy here. To cover 2 volumes in 5 episodes though for a fighting anime is really good pace imo. If this was dragonball z to get this far it would have taken easily over 10 episodes, so i'm more than satisfied at this point. What's going to drag on forever i think, will be the flashback scene with aya/maya's brother. That thing took 3 full volumes in the manga and may be the second longest flashback ever (behind gungrave's) and absolutely bored me death. Before it does start i'm willing to put some papers that it'll take around 7 episodes to cover heh.

Tenjo Tenge on the whole as an anime feels kind of sterile to me. The manga is cooler. Maybe it's because we're talking about moving animation here compared to manga panel frames. Hence the speed for manga is faster (our eyes can move as fast as we want when it comes to boring parts of the story. The whole flashback part in the manga I just skimmed through in a flash).

Is it me or are all the new releases nowadays lack the oomph that used to be in animes like ROD TV, PMK, Scrapped Princess, WHR, KG, and other previously released animes? Midori no Hibi is an exception though. It can rival the manga version in terms of pure fun.

Betting with papers....sounds fun.

In my view, CC is the only series currently airing that has oomph to it. It's licensed of course, so there iso only a small number of people who still watch it in countries other than Japan. BakuTen is being episodic. Madlax is being incomprehensible. KonoMinikukumoUtsukushiiSekai has too much talk. Not quite sure what Melody is doing. Monster is being weird. Shura no Toki is looking good, but not much oomph. Sensei no Ojikan is being short. Gantz is being vulgar for a large number of people. Initial D is being Initial D. FMA is being sort of good. I can keep going on and on. +_+

I want my crazy anime goodness! <img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' />

The anime is quite accurate to Oh! Great's manga, but with something less than ecchi continues to be so good and with the same action that the manga version

Gotta agree with the oompth factor, even on that list while all the titles were good to great (except pmk which i thought was absolute garbage) none of them had it. I can't think of any titles in the last 2 years that have had it heh. Some notables that almost had it were Midori no Hibi (cause i loved the manga and even now honestly it's losing it), Paranoia Agent, Kimi ga Nozumu Eien, and Gunparade March. GANTZ was close as well they cut out too much from the manga for my liking (they could have easily animated the scenes without the gore).

Yeah tenten cant hold a candle to the summer titles, Get Backers, Scrapped Princess & Gundam Seed being my personal fav's. I cant really imagine any of the current animes being anything to really remember, maybe GANTZ will get into it I dont know, same with Midori.

I prefer the manga way better than the anime. I think the anime has pretty bad voices for the characters +_+ Plus manga is much more ecchi <3 emoticon

It kinds of annoys me that Nagi is mentioned as potentially the strongest member in the Jyuuken Club.

I want Masataka Takayanagi to be the strongest!
