I'm one of those who prefers J-Rock also. But, as far as pop stuff goes, I like a lot of OP an ED for animes and whatnot. My favorite 'J-Pop' song, if it can be classified as that, is the second ED for ROD the TV, Confidence by Reiko Miura.

J-rock is awsome! I love Pierrots, and Die en grey...me two favorite bands.
Ayu is okay..her new song "moments" sounds just like any pther of her songs...it really bugs me.

I'm really hard-pressed as to who are my favorite bands, because often times, not all of a single artist's songs appeal to me.
I would have to say Shimokawa Mikuni, Sae, Rythem, HY, and KOTOKO really float my boat now. I like most of their songs. Well, Sae is new isn't she? Asu no Blue Wing is my favorite song of the moment... so yeah.
