Opnions On Yotsuba?

As you can see by my avatar, I'm a big fan of Yotsuba, another crazy and fun manga by the creator of Azumanga Daioh. Just wanted to get others opinions about the series.
Yotsuba&! is so fun to read. So much so, that I hunted down the first two volumes at Otakon. I love the chapter when she finds the frog. XDThe 2005 calendar shipped to me yesterday. <!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo-->I actually saw your avatar and needed to know where it came from, so I checked amazon japan to see if the third volume had come out, and found your image. *does weird things when bored*

I like Yotsuba because it has this "natural" feeling to it. People there are much more normal than in Azumanga, so the sense of funny has changed in another direction since more of a normal world. It's hilarious seeing Fuuka stuck in a bathroom window, or having Jambo suddenly roar at Ena, or seeing Koiwai dance, and it makes perfect sense in this normal world. Really neato manga series *thumbs up*!

Opinions? i love it. just as refreshing as azumanga, more-so with a brainless little chiyo-chan! it's perfect for those bad days where nothing is going right; reading some puts a smile on your face and makes you feel a little bit better.can't wait for the scanlations. if anyone can tell me where to get the raws, i'd be eternally grateful. <!--emo&:)--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I wonder if it will ever turn into an anime...

It may happen, since those crappy producers in japan are sticking to all the tried-and-true storylines there is a possibility that this one will be converted. it really sucks when they choose established titles for manga-to-anime ports instead of coming up with newer, more innovative stuff for the anime medium. they say it's due to the fact that they don't want hit-or-miss projects, so they opt for sure-profit genres. that's why the anime scene is so BORING nowadays. manga-to-anime ports, anime-to-manga-ports, harem animes, gundam and gundam seed and gundam leaf and gundam branch and gundam roots.... zzzz....ahem. <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> off topic: it's the same with games. mortal kombat 1, 2, 3, 1000, 2004, 999999. silent hill 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 666. doom 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, once i caught a fish alive....there rarely is a manga which i really want to see ported over to an anime. beck was one of the natural choices, it's a musical. the azumanga port was a good idea too, since the manga mainly consisted of 4-komas (4-panel comics). i could live without the naruto port, but since all the anime viewers rate it higher than the manga, i'll give it the benefit of a doubt. yotsubato would be a nice port, but i don't really think it's necessary. stuff like the bleach, midori no hibi, tenjou tenge (anime=yux!!), yakitate, aa! megami-sama, etc. animes don't really justify their existance. imho. so unless azuma kiyohiko can come up with alot more material for the yotsubato anime, i don't think it is a justifiable choice either. i want new stuff!!!! <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ph34r.gif' /><!--endemo-->edit: by the way, what is the complete picture of your avatar? it looks really nice, where did you get it from? official art?

The avatar comes from the 3rd volume released in Japan: <a href='http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4840228957/ref=pd_sim_dp_2/249-2141072-2412369' target='_blank'>http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4...2141072-2412369</a>I, however, got it from a site (I forget where now). I attached the orginal image.
Me likes.i almost bid on the Yotsuba gashapon i found on ebay..^^
As mentioned before, its a really funny refreshing series^^I'd love to see it adapted to anime
*dredges up slightly old topic*Apparently ADV licensed Yotsuba, well, according to <a href='http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1413903177/104-7345328-6664768' target='_blank'>Amazon</a>.Of course, I find this out right after I picked up Volume 3 this weekend. It's so cute though! She goes to the zoo! XDThere might be some other news... but I have to translate the little cover slip that came with the manga. I read the word 'anime' on there, but not 100% sure if it's referring to Azumanga Daioh or Yotsuba as they're both mentioned in the same sentence.
I love it just as I love Azumanga Daioh. It's so hilarious!
Momotato dropped his scanslation project T_T

bye bro!
