Guys reading shoujo?

I know of guys that read shoujo manga too. ^^ Nothing wrong with it. Besides, I think it's nice because a lot of the times the best stories come from shoujo manga. I personally think more guys should check it out.
I'm a guy, and I love Shoujo. Hot Gimmick, Chobits, etc.
Yeah, I read shoujo occasionally. I'll read just about anything that'll entertain me, and there's a fair number of shoujo that do it well! The latest one I'm reading is Parfait Tic ^_^ It makes me laugh. And laughing is good!

I like them for the fact that the storylines are generally more complexed. That is why I read the complex storylines from the BattleTech/MechWarrior series. The human drama tends to keep you glued to the story while the action can be very refreshing. As far as the manga goes, I would have to say it was Ai Yori Aoshi that me started with the whole Romance Genre in Manga.
Eh. i'm a girl whos got sick of shoujo XD i mean.. well i still read it sometimes.. but i dont if i have 'other' choices.. i think it's because its all i read for a better half of my manga-reading career and its a phase i gotta get over ..
i never thought guys read shoujo until recently actually. i think it's a fine idea XD btw. it's my brother's roomie that's been spreading the guy-shoujo love around me.. maybe one day i'll be pleasured to see my brother read some shoujo.. XD

I don't know very many guys who read shojou. Shojou is equally entertaining as any other manga genre. For guys it can provide a break from your typical action packed manga and give you a glimpse of how the female mind works. Shojou can be pretty funny as well.
Yeah, I read shojo, and I think it's pretty good stuff. my friends think it's weird, but meh.
My brother also read Shoujo manga.. but I dislike it. I only read a good ones without annoying female charaters... But recently, I don't think I've read any... but I think my brother read it a lot. And it's hard to get shojo manga in Malaysia. They loves shounen manga instead...
Well, i cant help it. If the art is deemed good enough for me, i'd read it. Kare Kano, fruits basket, Tsubasa (anything by CLAMP'll do). As someone stated above, i'd read it for the story. a guy can get so much of boy goes from crap to hero.
edit: forgot Kodocha. not bad either.

I'm not a super fan of shoujo, but I have collected and read all the volumes of Kare Kano released in the states to date. Not once have I felt akward reading a pink comic book in public. Seriously!

Whats wrong with a guy reading shoujo :S, many guys do, its not gay or anything
There are some shoujo titles I like and collect, like Maison Ikkoku, MKR, and Kare Kano, but that's about it. I find nothing wrong with reading shoujo as a guy, it's just that most don't attract me (ie, I won't be subscribing to Shoujo Beat as I have no interest in any of it's titles).
Aka-chan to Boku (Baby and Me) is a great title to read, though =/

I like shoujo manga more then i like shounen because a-lot of the time (not ALL the time and in my opinion) the shounen kind of stories are what place a lot of negative steriotypes (i can't spell and i don't think that's how you write it)on anime. To alot of non-anime likers...it's kinda just little cartoonish people with ridiculously large eyes and mouths running around shooting random things that pop out and say things like "This world is mine!" or "You puny humans don't stand a chance" (dragonball z...*shudders with hatred that burns brighter then 1000 suns*". Some are good like Inuyasha etc because they have what's called "plot"...but alot of people don't see that. However, alot of the shoujo mangas have themes like an impossible love, betrayal, sadness etc. Basically, (again this is just MY opinion) a-lot of the shounen stuff lacks a sense of depth...the only real things that draw you in are either purely testosterone drivin violence or random silliness that someone had to be on drugs to think up ( FLCL, one piece...though i will admit i like one piece ^^ etc.). All this and Naruto is one of my favorites ^^;; i just love the characters so much!
