Prince of Tennis, anyone?

Anyone likes Prince of Tennis or Tennis no Oujisama? Are there any favourite characters you like? I like Fuji-Syusuke. Wat do you think about him? <!--emo&:)--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I haven't seen the anime but I have read most of the manga. I'm not a huge fan of sports based anime, but Prince of Tennis was pretty good. I haven't gotten into this sort of series since slam dunk. too bad I'm not a female, the yaoi potential here is ridiculous <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I'm still watching the anime. I must say it's a really fun anime for me. It's not as draggy as Slam Dunk as there are still varieties of skills and different match ups. After all the 'serious' battles, there's always a 'cool down' episode that simply just shows the characters relaxing. And that people in the sports world are still people, they don't hold an everlasting vendetta.About characters I like? Too many - even if I'm a guy. The character development of this show is great!

I'd like to consider myself a fan. I've kind of lost track of the anime. I stopped watching somewhere around episode 29 because my internet went out. Now it's in the 100s. It'll probably take me a while to catch up. I do read the manga though and I enjoy it very much. For some reason I'm absolutely addicted to sports series. It's probably the plentiful amount of bishounen. *nodsnods*My favorite character is Kikumaru, followed closely by Ryouma, Kaidoh and Inui. Fuji is a pretty wicked character, and I like him, but he isn't one of my absolute favorites.
I'm following the anime.. i'm waiting for new episodes to come out right now. <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'm a girl but i don't like people writing yaoi fanfics about Prince of Tennis.. it feels kinda of weird. There are alot of girls i know who like it because they think Tezuka or Fuji is cute... <!--emo&:huh:--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='huh.gif' /><!--endemo--> I find Sakuno (sp?) and Tomoka really annoying... Tomoka talks wayyy too much. and Sakuno.. bleh.. i just find her very annoying. I have too many favorite characters to list. athough Echizen would be one. Indeed the character development is great. <!--emo&:D--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I'm also a follower of this serie... it's real good.. just need the next episode to be released !!! i'm only d/l from a-o... they do a great job... my fav character is TEZUKA!! ^^ he's way too cool and his play is the best (although we haven't seen that much) but echizen is good too (after all, he's the main main character of the serie)I just wonder how many eps they will be....

I think that the POT series is very interesting. I give it a good rating. Quite long though. It hasnt let me down yet though. Well except one episdoe. 63 i think it was. The filler episode, aka Special edition episode, when all the characters shrunk and got messed up. Dunno what the heck was going on witht that episode, and they put it right in the middle of a good match. Anyways. In respect to sports anime though, i'd have to rate it a second. Putting it behind the all time "Hajime no Ippo". I believe that to be the ultimate sports anime. based on the boxing theme. Just awesome. But anyways, in POT i loved the characters, they all have their own unique characteristics. Very impressive. Tezuka = elite!

<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->lol, I know what you mean, that edition spoilt the whole anticipated match. The special edition or I called tenipuri, I think it's very cute and funny but I didn't know that POT fans will dislike it.
I'm currently watching Tenisu no Oujisama and I've watched up to 141 which is the latest ep that AO have subbed.Some of my fav parts were Echizen vs. Akutsu, Atobe vs. Tezuka and Echizen vs. Sanada. The Sanada match was so cool despite the BS explosions and tornados but I loved it - it breaks away from reality and serves it's purpose: entertainment; also it's a really good way to promote tennis though Jap kids will just have to cope with the fact that it is physically impossible to achieve something like the *insert BS technique here*There was a wasteful episode involving the twin girls - oh man I wanted to scream; it was a waste of twenty minutes having to put up with that.On a final note, I like it how Nanjirou conquered (almost) America.
Heh, as much as I like the show, anime is super exaggeration. How do you work the Tezuka zone in real life? If anyone really did that, they'd be like worshipped people cause they've got like demonic control over the balls heh
KYAAAAA~~~!!!! I ABSOLUTELY ADORE PRINCE OF TENNIS!!! RYOMA-SAMA!!! hehe...Waii it's just so so amazing. the best ever anime i ever watched in my entire life. well, one of them at least haha. ^^ I lover ryoma and fuji!! Whenever i buy plushies or pot merchandise, it has always been onli both of them. no more no less ^__________^
Here's another fan. Initially, being a tennis player myself, i thought "hey, an anime on tennis. how stupid." But after watching a few episodes, i liked it. Soon came the chibi episodes, and that was it. I was sold. I am a nitpicker so it sometimes pains me to see that the only reason someone was aced was becuase the person was standing on the wrong side or at the service line rather than the baseline, but you cant go wrong with Inui and his Penal-Tea... ha ha. you all love it. Penal-tea.
Prince of Tennis is a very good anime. It doesn't really seem to drag despite how many episodes there are. Fuji is my favorite. He's so cute when he gets all serious and does his tennis moves. All the bishounen make it fun to watch. I also like Tezuka, Kaidou and Momo too!The thing I don't like is some of the chibi episodes. It seems so cheesy. And yeah I also agree that it seems to disrupt the flow of the games.

...x___x the point of anime is for it to be exagerated.so anyway I love this anime ^____^ and the characters. Though I hate Tezuka x___x hes like a piece of cardboard. but then some other ones are too. like Tachibana. rofl and the Chibi episodes are hilarious i love them. ooh but i hate when those fangirls scream >_>;

bye bro!
