This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

<img src='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v291/spotthechelsey/griffin_linoprint_01.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />46ish feathers, one wound, and a lot of patience later, I finally finished it ... This is close to its actual size of 5x7 inches, and it was printed with a hydrolic linoleum press. For the moment, I only have a black-and-white sample, though I'm going to ask my teacher if I can use some of the colored inks soon. But I'm sooo proud of it ... and I finished two-thirds of it in two days! (For me, that's a major accomplishment) ^___^

I remember my print from freshman year HS.it SUCKED. it was my WOODcuts that were nice xDafter i cut my finger >.>(i know you remember that... me: ummmm.....-blood gushing-)anyways...it came out awesome.for some reason woodcuts and lenolium cuts are tedious and addictive. i need to go get me some wood and do another one. without the exacto knife in my finger >.>the detail is awesome and last time i saw it i think it was like 1/3 done or something.i expect a print from you! signed!

Gah, I remember doing a tucan (sp?) in art class in Middle school and hating it because I kept cutting myself trying to carve the thing out. This is absolutly. amazing! Wonderful job, indeed!!

That's so great... you really did well, especially with the details which are very difficult since they're small... well, compared to the mess i made during high school since i'm really not good in arts... it was a project and dang, i nearly failed because of the carving i made...
