I really enjoyed Kill Me Kiss Me. Another gender-bender, but it was still pretty good. ^^ And SHORT. I read it after reading some of HanaKimi, and I have to say that I liked Kill Me Kiss Me a lot better because it didn't drag it out. I don't think I've read any other manhwa, but I think I shall look deeper into it. Thanks for the scanlation link, Ttethys. ^^
Chonchu too is a manhwa, but i've no luck with this manga, where can do the download? anywere know? ^_^;

Priest is Korean, right? I thought that Priest was amazing!
It's the only Korean manga that I know of that I've read, but I have probably read more then that!

Korean manhwa is good, i liked hot blooded woman, and Girl Queen is good too.
Sometimes i think i love manhwa better than manga. lee so-young being a primary example- she's brilliant. but i love gothic-style anything really. but i have to agree that the storyline and the artwork for threads of time is absolutely wonderful. there are more great manhwa artists out there... i don't have any names right now but check them out for sure.
The only Manwha i like is KINGS OF HELL. That is the only Manwha i am currently collecting, i read quite alot of Manwha already, but its just not as good as Manga. One question if anyone can answer, about RAGNAROK from Tokyopop, does anyone knows what happen to it, i haven't seen a release in over a year and a half.

I love Priest!! It's so stark and intense. It reads like one of those overly romantic action movies. I've actually fallen behind on that, and it's kind of bumming me out. I don't know how I feel about the videogame that's being/been produced for PC. I think it might even be an MMORPG. Little weird.
One of my favorite imported Korean works is called INVU. I think I have three volumes in total, and it's barely scraped the surface of the story, but I don't believe that any more have come out. (Maybe it's come up to as many as four volumes, I can't remember.) It's by Kim Kang Won, and a brief check at Amazon has shown me that she has one other work out called The Queen's Knight. How exciting!!
What I'm curious about is if there are any wallpapers kicking around for Priest or INVU? :D

Manwha is cool. I've read only a few series, Chronicles of the Cursed Sword; Kill Me, Kiss Me; and Rebirth, but I'm really interested in reading more.
To me they are just as good as manga, only harder to read since they are left-to-right *laughs*
Does anyone know if Soul to Seoul is any good? I read that in a sneak peek and it sounds interesting.

I read Evol's old thread about manhwa and was sad that people didn't seem to like/know very much about them. This short article explains it really well, this feature talks about it in a bit more length. I wouldn't say I know a lot of Korean manhwa, but the ones I've read so far have all been really good - in terms of both artwork and story. Korean manhwa style is very distinctive from Japanese manga...I like how it's different.
Maybe you've read them and didn't realise they were Korean!
Licensed titles around include Priest, Model, Demon Diary, Ragnorak (actually loads of people know about Ragnorak), in scanlated titles there are Goong, Unplugged Boy...interested? See this specialist manhwa scanlation group.
Threads of Time by Mi Young Noh is my current favourite, it's a time travelling, martial arts, historical ride on the back of teenage angst and self discovery of the story's main character, with ancient Korea and invading Mongols being the backdrop. It's shounen in style (aimed at the boys) with lots of fight sequence scenes, naked girls, blood, gore and violence (well they are at war...). The artwork is also amazing. Convinced? Lol. =p
so do I lololol

Hello... i just wanna say, shin angyo onshi is actually a korean manwa manga or whatever, being the real title "shin amen hosa", so there, a cool non-shoujo manwa for you people. I also like under the glass moon, it is kind of cool although the story line could improve... what i like most is that the leave the sfx in korean, so when i read them it's really funny
Personally some manhwa stories and situations (non-fantasy) are kind of forced (i slipped, oh my you just happened to be by my side, now we're stuck in a compromising position and look at that everbody's home!) that wasn't a good example, but well...
The other problem is much of the manhwa you can find is for a teens public (and some for young adults) so the stories may not convince some readers. (like those lovey dovey sugary coated high school stories)
I visited some book stores where you rent everything, even manhwa and there i saw an amazing manhwa (for young adults and adults) that was about the evolution of humanity including gods and several fantastic beasts, the art was beautiful too. Right now i don't remember the name of the author, but when i get my hands in another of his works i will let you know.
So, the manhwa found in common book stores may no be of your taste right now, i guess we should wait until somebody publishes more mature ones.
