Sex......... A common talk among the people nowadays.
Come on, what year is this? It's the new civilazation, why are so many people making a big fuss over it?
Sex is mutually between 2 person, an intimate feeling arouses between these 2 person and as much as I do concern, sex is the same as you eat, bath, work or any other daily thing that every one else do. I'm curious of why there is still people thinking that a woman should be a virgin when they marry, that is just a bunch of nonsense. Although I do respect the traditional cultures that they carry out, but why do they make it such a serious case.
Like in Asean places, like where I come from, there are still people carrying out these cultures. I do respect them personally but why pinpoint it out to all. In this real world, nobody is perfect. They should change their conservatives mind to a more open minded one. There's this one question that I really wanted to ask if I got the chance, would god or the community punish a woman if she was found not a virgin when a man decide to marry her? I heard from a friend say that christians, who would want their marriages to be held at a church, the bride and bridegroom should both be virgin. She means that it is the holy way, but i disagree with her. Look at the people now, no matter how many times they got laid, still their marriage is held at a church. So......, heck with the holy or unholy.....(Christians - pls don't be offended by what i said, sorry ).
Ppl think that they're smart, when people have sex, pop...! a new life; a baby, is created. That is just merely a scientific explanation for having sex and a more mature bond between a married couple.

To what I see, sex is just simply something that every human being will be doing, depending on WHEN will they be doing it. On the other side, virginty, something sacred. Should be wisely thought over before any decision to lose.... it. Thaz what i think.
Above all, I think sex and virginity is something not to be made a big fuss about. Thaz all i can say, like it or........ just leave it.

to answer these question i can say that sex (for me) si something romantic, both sides (the guys and the girls) must agree to do it, i don't think that sex is just a amusement (as I have heard several to people). I don't think that a person must wait until get married to have sex, i think that if someone wants to have it, it is his/her decision but (like i said before) you must feel it, it must be a moment of passion.


Some people view virginity as a precious and valuable thing. Society puts a greater pressure on women to be virgins than they do on men. Is that fair? If you are a girl, do you prefer that your future husband be a virgin? If you are a guy, do you prefer that your future wife be a virgin?

I don't see virginity as something precious, it doesn't bother me if a girl is virgin or not. I don't blame society to put some pressure on women but i also doesn`t agree with these, i think that to conserve it or not is a personal decision, nobody must blame you if you aren`t virgin. And for the las question it doesn`t bother me if my future wife isn't virgin but to tell you the truth i would prefer her to be virign

I think sex causes lots of social problems. There's people that get pregnant way too young and it ruins the rest of their lives becasue they just can't afford the child at that time and won't give it up. If it wasn't everywhere in the media and such then it wouldn't be the only thing some people think about, not that they'd ever stop thinking about it completely because it is natural. Sex is fine but there's just too much emphasis put on it nowdays. If people are gonna have sex they'll have it without the culture encouraging them. I personally have no desire to see other people doing it in movies or anywhere else, I don't care what other people watch but keep it out of my face. Guys do sometimes think it's cool to have lots of girlfriends at the same time or different times. If you have more than one at once then it's just not respecting any of them. As for the other it's just like not being able to keep a job for very long, it doesn't do any good for your character. For me either is a major turn-off.
As to valueing virginity it's going to depend on the person but if you really love someone enough to marry them then it shouldn't matter whether they are a virgin or not.

Its bizarre that things like this never get tackled in more traditional conversations because people tend to be too humiliated, but put it on the internet and suddenly everyone puts in a quote or two- funny that...

Anyhow, I guess I'm a bit of hopeless romantic- though in modern ideology marriage is no longer an essential component prior to sex, which shows the waning influence of christianity, I'd like to think two people should share some form of connection before going off with it- I certainly don't believe in one nighters or 1st date lust marathons.

The virginity thing is a tough one to explain- I'd have to say I'd prefer it in a partner, though there should be no reason for this, as virginity makes no real difference. I guess its a case of instinctual ownership- most people prefer new stuff to second hand stuff unless they can't afford it, so in the case of the partner, you instinctively feel shortchanged if your not the first and only partner to have them sexually. I think this a wholly man thing, mind; since most girls I've managed to talk about this kind of thing with seem to prefer experienced men, which is an odd reversal, isn't it?

I think people should lose virginity before marrige, becouse if you marrie a crazy person who is obssesed about sex and has a freaky fetish by the way fetishes can occure from early childhood exposure to obseene(sexyal) matterial, by creating a fetish they try to cover the abilitie to sastain a romantic relationship. And the last thing is, always use protection there is already too many people on earth, if you want a baby, go adopt one!

I see sex as 2 things
romantic sex as in love and relation stuff like that.
and one night stands with some you just met or with a friend.

Before i was with girls kind of often but now i really want a girlfriend so i don't even care if a girl want to have sex with me or not. Only this weekend 2girls wanted to do things with me but i just said no.
Now when i have been whitout sex or a girl since december, sex seems less important than before.

I think people can do as they like with sex before marriage or not..

i think its ok To have Sex before getting married But Not in a Very Young Age in some Ways it Can pass Dessises if the Age Is too Young...theres nothing Wrong with Having sex before Getting married...actually its even Good...becouse That Way They will Feel more Confident Less Afraid :')

I would have never expected to see this question up, but it's cool to see that other people are thinking.

To me sex is a beautiful thing that is intended to be shared my a husband and wife. That's what it was created for...The whole "two become one". I agree though that in today's society sex has just turned into a way for humans to soothe their lust for the opposite sex. The whole idea has become distorted.

I myself am a virgin and intend to be when I say my vows. I want my spouse to be the same. Why would you want the person that you're spending the rest of your life with to have to compare you to someone else. It really bothers me when someone tells me that you have to "practice" before you get married so that you can make sure you're good at it. What is that about? If you love your spouse and you are both experiencing it for the first time...do you think they would care?

Abstinence is the only garanteed birth control. I don't think I'm missing anything. Things are always better when you have to wait and work for them.

Abstinence is the safest way to go as far as birth control goes. Still you also have to take into account of the children involved as a result of sex. If the parents are not able to care for them, it's not the fault of the children and yet they still suffer for it. Yes I do want kids, but I would wait for the ablitiy to care for them in first place. I have seen families living in one tiny house and I would never want to do that to myself or kids in the future. I guess it's because of the devotion my parents showed to us by always having a place of our to call home.

I think sex is a form of expression, and it's an action that should only be shared between a married couple. I guess it depends on the situation for whether or not it's romantic. For example, say that it happens in the back room of your partner's work place. That is not romantic. But if you go through the effort of trying to set the mood or whatever.. like the cliche romantic dinner and candles.. then I think it would be considered romantic. I agree that the true meaning of sex has been confused. Sex is not here for lusting males that have nothing better to do. Like I said before, it's an expression of your true feelings. I, for one, am going to wait until I get married. In the ideal situation, I would also want my husband to wait. But I don't think I would freak out if they didn't wait for marriage.

I also think that it's unfair for society to put greater pressure on women to be virgins. This may be because we actually see the affects of careless sex - pregnancy, and maybe abortion. Maybe because so many issues have revolved around abortion that society just automatically blames the woman, who had the baby.

Everyone has pretty much said what I believe, but I guess I don't mind typing it out.

I believe that God created sex for married people to enjoy. I believe that sex is a beautiful and very spiritual thing that should not be treated as cheaply as it is now.

It's like you are literally giving a piece of yourself to another person when you engage in these acts. I would rather have the assurance of knowing that I love this person and am married to them so that I could give them this precious gift without worrying about whether they're going to be with me when I wake up the next morning. Unfortunately, marriage is also twisted in this day and age, but I would certainly feel better waiting for it instead of giving it to someone who I might not love or I THINK I love. One night stands might be fun for some people, but it's really sad how such a beautiful thing has to go to waste.

Personally, I'd most definitely prefer it if my husband were a virgin. Then I won't have to feel awkward all by myself. ^_^;;; (Uwah, that was blatant.) Plus it's like starting with a clean slate.

Anyway, I also think it's unfair that so much pressure is put on the woman. But it's not as if either sex is without fault. If you're going to have sex, then be smart about it. If you simply can't wait, don't do something stupid and end up having children if you know darn well that you can't take care of them. Sure there are occasions where it still happens even with birth control or condoms, but if you're not thinking about that BEFORE you give into your desires, that's really your own fault. No child should suffer because you were so caught up "in the heat of the moment".

Do you know the safest way to prevent pregnancy and STD's? The way is simple just don't have sex!! Amazingly it works for every thing! How do you save money on gas? Don't drive a car! How do you save money on food? don't eat! How do you prevent cancer? Shoot yourself!
