Okay, you've picked the right colors already, but you still need to improve your coloring skills. And in case you edited it with photoshop, learn more of it's tools and features (like textures for example?), it'll improve your image quality a lot.

Well the coloring is vibrant and you even shaded it in though your drawing sure could use work.
It looks ok to me, but they are right. the coloring needs inprovment, but it is a pretty good sketch after all^_^

I think the composition could be better cuz it kinda looks like the picture got cut off. I suggest a top or down view to show a greater sense of depth. The perspective on the character and the background is also different. If the chracter is seen head on, genereally, so should the BG. happy drawing.
