What kind of ending do you hate the most?

Yep..I also dont like if the endings is without closure.
I dislike philosophical endings. They annoy me greatly as it doesn't explain much and leaves the ending up to the individual. Makes the anime very boring for me =O. An example of this for me was the ending of Hikaru no Go the manga. The ending was sudden and very random and I highly disliked it

I hate endings where the enemy is still alive like in Chrono Crusade. I also hate those endings where the characters I like dies.

Like most of you, I hate the stereotypcal endings, where the prince charming saves the princess and lives on happy forever and ever.
Why not make "bad" endings, where the bad guy kills them all and achieves his final goal. Then again depending on the kind of storyline, it would be dissapointing to see your favorite hero go throug all those quests and bad guys to simply fail in the end, but still it would be a nice twist.

Well I haven't watched that many anime but I can answer this based on my movie/series (real life actors) experience. I think the worst endings are the ones where everything goes in a false perspective, for instance, "and they lived happily ever after" without any real good connection with the story. I also don't like when they keep getting not realistic with characters that never die, or things that work out "magically" just for the sake of a happy ending.
Not that I dislike happy endings, but there are movies that you see they are forcing a fake happy ending just because it's more popular that way. I like to see realism, and life does not have 90% happy endings, I would say it's a zero sum plot, thus, 50~50 would be ok.
I have read that directors do that because if it is a sad ending, people won't buy the DVD or rewatch the movie, but I think than it's a problem with the audience ... just because it's sad it does not mean it's bad, actually, most good movies I watched have sad endings exactly because it brings out the best of emotion (in the characters and in the audience) and also a whole new realistic feeling to it.
What's the point of the characters worring all the movie to get an unrealistic happy ending?

I hate endings that actually don't end anything, but instead leaves you to think about what the ending could be. I also hate endings when nothing is resolved.
I really hate endings whit slows songs... and non sense endings too
...but the worst ending its the Ikkitousen- Dragon destiny ending ...really sucks !!

I think endings that don't resolve anything are so annoying. there are quite a few animes where the ending didn't solve any of the problems so the plot is pretty much back and square one.
The endings that leave room expansion and without a complete conclusion are really irratating. It makes me wonder why I watched the show when nothing was going to get resolved. I would understand if there was another season coming up, but the chances of shows such as Candidate for Goddess getting another season is zero. >_>

I don't like the dues ex machina 'everything is resolved at the last minute and everyone lives happily ever after' endings. I typically like endings that leave you wondering, and especially ones that are bittersweet. I still like to see things resolved though, some sort of progress so that you didn't watch it for nothing. Without giving any spoilers away, I loved Honey and Clover's ending, Bebop's ending, Death Note's ending, FMA's ending, FLCL's ending, and even Eva's (movie) ending.
It can either end with a huge change (Eva), or with life going back to normal (FLCL), with everything wrapped up (Death Note) or still continuing on (FMA). I typically prefer the sad or bittersweet (H&C, Bebop) endings to the happy, though. Life isn't a fairytale, and I like to see a more realistic end, with consequences.

Nonsense endings!
I hate those nonsense endings. The super happy endings are not that bad, because sometimes they played the tragic part first before the happy ending. The best ending I've ever seen is probably... Suzumiya Haruhi or Sailor Moon.

I agree with the most of you. Endings that seemed sooooo perfect for the characters, especially when the ultimate-bad guy becomes a "warrior of justice" or a "caretaker of peace", are the worst endings from my POV. Also, if an anime has a long list/line of episodes, and it ends with an open ending, without a sequel, is also bad >_< Rushed endings are also one of the worst, especially if the anime's good. It spoils everything!
However, if the ending's "super-happy" yet it has an effect on the viewer's feelings afterwards, then it passes n_n

A no ending. I sometimes see those anime which, due to production problems, a series with lots of potential just stops, resulting in no ending. Then you wonder, where's the rest, and the answer is, there is no more.
Series like Groove Adventure Rave, Kare Kano, etc...

I've never seen a...nonsense ending >_<. Don't you only find those in nonsense anime in the first place? Like Azumanga Daioh XD!
I hate ending which make it seem like the animation studio ran out of fundings, and had to suddenly finish the anime in like, one episode..
Good example is Trinity Blood, I was watching the last episode, and halfway it still didn't have any sign of almost ending.
such a pity..
