Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Has there ever been a time when you were driving on the road and some jerk almost hits you from the side because he wasnt looking while he was merging? Would you guys say that you have road rage? Just post stuff here that pisses you off while youre driving. Or you could post things you hate about driving in general. For me i hate it when youre going down the street and then some guy turns out hecka fast but then drives like 30 mph. Well that and i also hate gas prices in America, but i dont think i should be complaining because i know that other countries got it worse

Driving is pretty much useless here on my campus. traffic is horrible, you have to pay lots of $$$ for a decal, and the parking for those WITH the decal is so far away that you'll end up taking the bus anyways to your classes.

I speed, I'll admit it. I've done 70 on a major road before. Usually do 85 on the freeway if I can.

People piss that piss me off when they cut off, with or without a signal, and just expect you to be nice enough to let them pass. I've almost hit so many people that do this I can't even think to guess an accurate number.

Others who piss me off are the people who only look in one direction when they make a right turn. I've been walking and I've been clipped, nudged and fully hit by people who do this.

There's one thing I want to say, and I know it sounds pretty racist and it's stereotypical...but asians can't drive in California. They just...can't. A bulk of the accidents I've almost been in were with asian drivers. I've also been hit while riding my bike by an asian female (hit and run by the way, that's a felony) as well as almost been hit in crosswalks by them. These don't even take into account the accidents I witness or potential accidents that almost occured with them.

(Edit - After talking it over with my friend, we both agree. The younger generation can drive fairly well, while people usually 35+ are absolutely horrible.)

As for gas prices...people who say that the U.S. has no more monopolies need to look around. Gas stations are the last surviving monopoly, as well as one that's deep routed in the American lifestyle: there is nothing we can do about it. I had an argument with one guy who kept trying to say that I was wrong, but he doesn't understand the OPEC industry or the actual prices the oil companies pay for gas/oil. I believe 5 years ago that a barrel of oil used to cost $50 (usually about 40 gallon barrels). And then the gas stations turns around and charges $2 for nine-tenths of a gallon. I was amazed that he didn't consider that price gouging. Then again, there are always stupid people out there.

I almost got into an accident that could have cost me my life because this Asian guy didn't notice the stop sign. I'm not stereotyping, but I have met more than my fair share of Asians that scare me behind the wheel. I'm Filipina, and I drive pretty well.

But one thing I hate the most is when someone cuts you off (like when you're on the freeway) and they end up going SLOWER than the car they're trying to pass. What was the freaking point of that? And to top it all off, they brake when they get into your lane, when you're supposed to speed up.

I'm only learning how to drive right now, so the road is already quite scary XD. Any tip to merge perfectly from an inner street out to a big street, especially when cars are parked alongside both ways? Whenever I try to merge fast, I'm scared that cars are coming really close behind me; if I come out slowly, some rude people would honk *.*. My dad told me to just go out slowly, but then I feel that I have to adapt to others @_@.

I hate driving, perhaps it is because my depth perception bites BIG time. So usually I try and drive as fast as possible to get where I need to be. Sadly now I'm having to watch myself more and developed kind of a driving concious (sp?) since I got pulled over the other day for speeding T_T I miss being able to drive from one side of town to the other within 15 minutes. Sounds kinda dangerous but it's not, when I say my depth perception bites it actually is kind of a good thing because it always makes me think that things are closer than they really are since I can't tell myself they aren't and so I can slow down with more than enough time to prevent an accident...which with the way people drive in this town I'm better off leaving them in the dust anyways.

Driving is important for traveling to far places, but if you're very slow to your destination, walking is a good exercise.

Gas prices are very expensive, but buying a car costs over $10,000. If you get into an accident, getting your car fixed uses a lot of money as well.

I hate it when you're driving at a decent pace and some bastard comes from a sideroad and almost hits you. luckily i never had accidents yet. and also those stupid pedestrians who just cross the road even though it's illegal to cross there or the red light is still on.

Driving to work seems pretty bad, I would use a bike. I'd save money from the gas, get good exercise and breath somewhat good air. But there are things that I hate about drivers:
1. Leaving your blinker on. When I think they are gonna turn, I use this opportunity to cross the road. However then they just KEEP GOING and I nearly get hit.
2. Slow drivers.
3. Tailgaters. That's just simply UNSAFE.
4. Not using your blinker at any moment.
Pedestrians can annoy me too. Some middle schoolers will jaywalk and get in the road to cross when there's no traffic light. So the driver may risk hurting the kids, etc.

I love to drive,... but you know gasoline and oil have become so expensive these days that I think twice about it in the mean time. To save money you either have a bunch of people joining the payment or just take bus or train,... even those have become expensive in Germany...

Well driving in countries like Thailand where I actually live currently is very dangerous. Because the traffic is jammed every f§$ing morning and evening. The country of Thailand is actually small, but there live so many people that it isn't possible to set any traffic rules there. Thus, since there is no real insurance, as I was told by my uncle and aunt,... there's no guarantee for safety, when I drive,... so actually I just drive on holidays and special occassion and that means when the roads are as free as possible..... like on the weekend mornings ^^
Yeah IF there isn't any traffic rules like in Germany, you risk a lot against those crazy drivers in Thailand. On normal days I prefer to take the bus and skytrain.

Im a drive-aholic. couldent exist without the open road to escape all my woes. Next to anime and friends, the road is the best way to relax.

but yes i have had my share of moments when someone who is day dreaming or on a cell tries to change lanes and almost runs me off the road. All you can do is expect things like that to happen.

You kidding me driving is great, wish i could initial D stuff here in Toronto but we got no mountain trails like USUI. LMAO XD

still i find driving alot of fun, like im sick right now but when you floor it the adrenaline is intense. not long ago my DJ buddy finished bulding a WRX STI out of 3 totaled STI's, and we went driving down a mainroad (queensway for those in Toronto) at 180 mph at 3am, i tell you the feeling is on par with leaving your virginity a second time. THE STI RULES ALL!

anywho if you think driving is a drag, man you must be lazy, i mean you sit on your ass all the time and just move your hands and feet (manual for others), like walking from my room to the garage and opening the garage door takes more effort lol.

the things that i hate the most is im sorry chinese drivers (with the turn signal everywhere), and the parkers at shopping malls, you kno THE CAMPERS now that just makes we want to punch them in the face.
There's one thing I want to say, and I know it sounds pretty racist and it's stereotypical...but asians can't drive in California. They just...can't.

i hear ya bro

ive never had an accident or anyone clip BUT my dad did total my right side rear door in my toyota matrix, and yea i was pretty steamed, but now it's fixed, but it's 2 different tones of silver which is uber gay. lol when i race a cavalier or civic they think i just picked it up from a junkyard (i love my car, but i hate the way it makes peoples head turn)

well i cant really say much for the gas prices but damn $1.10 just 2 weeks ago here in toronto, know they just dropped to 90 cents again which i am very pleased i might add, now i can floor it again for the time being before it hits a buck again.

XD oh how i love the overdrive button in my toyota matrix XD!!!!!!

I have to say, I'm not racist and have no problem with homosexuals. I get along pretty well with everyone, so I have no qualms about anything.

But people seriously take it as an offensive remark when I say elder asians in Cali can't drive. I don't mean it to be offensive in any fashion. It's the God honest truth.

Initial D arcade eh? Haven't played that in a couple weeks. My friend and I get pretty weird looks when we start up a race on those machines too. I guess it's like...unthinkable for 2 white guys to like racing that isn't stock or professional. I use an upgraded MT Levin for my main car, set a couple course records on the machines I've been to with it. Other car is an upgraded Mazada Roadster.

I have to admit, after playing a couple rounds, I have to try to calm myself before I drive X.x

I love driving. Sometimes I just carpool with a friend or two just to drive.
